So umm my mom locked me out of windows can you tell me a program that would let me get my password, btw Im on the knoppix live linux boot CD.

dude, your cool and all but you need to chill out man, this guy got locked out of his computer and needs a way to get back on.

not every topic needs to be locked or deleted that doesnt look satisfying to you, im sorry if im bein mean but i have to voice my oppinion ya know?

Edit: Fine. If you cant access your computer, try accessing through Guest or Dos. Go into dos, Control Panel.exe Then Users, once you get into users change the numbers around. The numbers for being locked should be a six digit number. Change them to 111111 this will allow access to your login. Once you login, Disable the lock, and unlock yourself. If you restart without unlocking yourself. Someone bad which i do not want to say will happen. And make sure you do not have a active internet connection. You will be kicked out of windows. Or just copy your SAM file to your hard drive and break it with John the Ripper. Or use NT Password to inject a new SAM file.

Errrr, I dont want to horribly screw up my computer I just want a quick and easy way to access my comp if my mom locks me out. Now about that password recovery thing, when I downloaded it I dont know where it downloaded to on my hard drive, because it didnt prompt me to save it anywhere, then how would I burn it to a cd on linux.

If you copy something in Knoppix it will be saved in a temp folder, probably on /ramdisk/.

Here's the NT Password site, you can easily inject a new password with it. Unfortuanately any windows-encrypted files will be unreadable unless you remember the original password, so you could do this temporarily until either your mom lets you back on your computer, or break the SAM file.

ok

you can 1 of 2 things to piss your parents off

if its YOUR computer then one time when your on, and parents tell you to turn it off... just turn off the monitor, num/caps lock, and your speakers... that way itll look like its turned off

or just reformat and put your own password on it XD (i did this once

)

Well what are some examples of windows encrypted files, and Ive found that almost all of my moms passwords have been permutations(math term) of the string "nowow" but since I dont play WoW anymore I doubt this holds true. How can I burn an iso to a cd in knoppix?
