The ratings... are kinda off. I've seen games rated M for comic mischief, then I've also seen games rated E for alcohol reference, drug reference, and mild lyrics. I just think that ESRB rates games too high for what it really is. Games like Mortal Kombat, now that should have the M rating, but Halo? Come on, Blood and Gore, and Violence. I'm starting to get surprised that they haven't rated Super Mario Teen yet.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. That game should NOT be rated A. Most people that are 18 have had sex with a previous girlfriend/boyfriend before (except for virgins). And it shouldn't be rated A anyways. That stuff was only accesable through a mod, not through the game itself, therefor, the game should be kept M. If people want to download the mod, let them. Some people don't (me), and others can't get it for their children because it's new "Adult" rating.

Agreed. Halo has almost no real reason to be rated M. Wow, it has a gun in it... So what? If boys haven't shot a gun by age 13, there's something wrong

its so very true with halos rating

they rate it m for swearing and gore.....
i hear swearing EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!

and as for the gore, i have seen blood and its not disturbing in ANY way at all...... people these days are just dumb asses

Why the fuck does it matter what its rated??????

No matter what halo 3 is rated, im gettin it

Also, GTA San Andreas def should be rated m-17 up
but not adult, adults fucken retarded you can barely buy the game anywhere then

I loved the thought that halo would be rated mature because i thought tha it would stop little whiny 5 year olds from playin, but it didnt do that at all

well the only reson i can see it for being rated that way is

1. oonce ur enimeies dead u can go over to them and keep shooting them making a pool of blood(FUNNEESS!)

2. Live becuase of the rude and bad words the say....

3. plus the grunts that pop out of no where and scare u half to death by yelling some random comment or loud high pitched scream. (THEY GOT ELITE!)

yab but over all it should be teen or we need a no rating chart becuase u go into a r rated movie and half the people there are under 10 years old and just about ever game for the xbox has a T-M rating on it.... yah...

i played halo when i was 10,it wasnt violent,i thought it was funny. My friends and I would play on the xbox and have slayer contests with rocket launchers and we would blow everyone up and it was just plain fun. and then i would do h2h with snipers which was UNMATCHED fun. Sure theres blood,sure theres gore,but common,the physics are WAY off from realism. The blood is different colours and stuff which doesnt look real. Serioulsy it should be rated teen. The reason why ESRB rates games higher than they should be is really just to cover their @sses. Some unusual individual may be highly offended by the game and try to sue ESRB for rating it "teen" instead of "M". Its all about the money,over-rating a game is just to avoid being sued by some retarded person.

you know why theyre rated so outlandishly?? theyre rated by suburban Moms that take their 8 yr old daughters to soccer practice and belong to knitting circles. Thats why Halo and other games like it are rated M
