God forbid people have a broad vocabulary. I don't understand why everyone expects people to "dumb themselves down", lest they sound like a douchebag for some reason.Jordan wrote:I hate when people try to make themselves sound smart by using big words, then claim that they aren't trying to make themselves sound smart by using even bigger, more condescending words.
Anyway, weather tomorrow is supposed to be shitty, lots of mixed reports...some people think it'll just be a lot of rain, some say thunderstorms, some say tornadoes...fuck bad weather, I wanna play Vegas 2.

I accept your apology. >_> <_< >_> <_<Tural wrote:Sorry for holding people to a reasonable level of intellect and assuming they have logic to support their claims, which they almost never do, hence confrontation. If you took the number of posts I didn't contradict and compared it to the number I do, I'd figure it would be somewhere in the area of 5% of my posts are questioning someone else. Based on your gross overgeneralization, I can conclude that I am far more accurate in my assessment of the situation than you are, and thus I am right.
no no i kid kids

Your post is loaded. It can't be combated by logic, because you already accounted for that using an illogical scenario. You say some people try to sound smart by using big words, but that they are further posing themselves as such by denying it. You're essentially saying that if they deny it, they prove it true. It's a broken scenario, which is not in any way fair. Furthermore, you can not dictate who is purposefully using sophisticated words from those who are not doing it for the motive you described. How can you hate what you can not prove?Jordan wrote:Yeah! That's exactly what I was saying with that post!
I figured as such.. which is why my post wasn't directed to you in any way.. and yet I was still donged on.Tural wrote:I type as it comes naturally to me. It isn't intentional.
Pretty sure from talking to my friends for years and years, I know how they speak. What I'm talking about is getting into some sort of disagreement with them and they suddenly start throwing out big words.. forget it.Tural wrote:Your post is loaded. On a side note... Bender just said Cheese It on the episode of Futurama I'm watching... awesome..
I recently had an interview with the AIM program. Here's how it went;
Me: "Hey AIM, after I pasted some blue coloured text, why did you change MY default text to that colour?"
AIM: "Well you see, just to piss you off. I do that because I'm a giant cuntzilla of a program."
Me: "Is true you suck ass, AIM?"
AIM: "Yes."

When people don't keep their arguments to PM's and add 1-2 pages the thread they're arguing in.
Also, I have a bad habit of putting an apostrophe on any word that ends with 'nt'. So for something like want, I will put wan't un-knowingly. >_< Pisses me off!

I just customised my IE7 to have the same features I use in firefox (adblock, download manager, favourites bar across the top)...I thought it'd be better since firefox does take up a fair bit of RAM with multiple tabs open.
Whilst IE7 is faster (its built into vista ;p) it still shares the same problem with firefox...Once the RAM goes up with many tabs, closing the tabs will do nothing. The RAM usage still rests up at 150mb...Which sucks.
Only difference is that firefox has a kooler RSS management system in it.
