It was 37 degrees when I drove by the bank (has an LED display of temperature/time) at around noon. I was fine in a short sleeved shirt and jeans, but my throat is definitely fucked. After conditioning yesterday, our coach said they'd most likely cancel all after school activities today depending on the locations of the winter storms...I am hoping and praying they will.DrXThirst wrote:You know it's supposed to snow tomorrow?
I'm sure it's worse where you are -- you're in the "White Area" on the weather map.
My rant: I had to write an essay in class choosing one of five of the stupidest fucking topics I've ever heard:
Discuss the influence that advertising has had on your life or the lives of your friends.
If you were asked to make a fair evaluation of your teachers, what criteria would you use for the evaluation? Discuss.
What influence should students have in the determination of college policies? Explain.
Has college made you less sure about what is right and what is wrong? Discuss.
How has your attitude toward your home (either town or family) changed between the time you entered college and now? Discuss.
And she made us hand write it with this dumb ass double spacing shit, like we had to use lined paper and leave a line between each line we wrote on. Honestly, what the fuck are we five?
EDIT: Well, turns out conditioning wasn't canceled for today...fuck me.
Some dude down in the PC download section is just annoying me to piss. I seen past threads by his clan posting their website all over and constantly bragging about their server rank and what not. Tbh, its kinda dumb and sad like hes trying to use this site and the downloads section to generate traffic for them or something. I dont know if he is but it comes off like that. Heh. If he was actually posting mods that were good i wouldn't care as much, but its like meta swaps?!
You sit down there in that section and try to motivate people to try better things or at least try to do new things but its like no convincing anyone. Logs and meta all around! Then you try to be blunt with them and tell them whats wrong with these mods and they think your being mean to them. I refused to kiss someone's arse to coax them into doing better more imaginative modding for HaloPC.
But no. That would be too hard. I don't mod Xbox series nor do I want Vista so Im stuck with HaloPC. I don't have the time to invest to do CE either. Between making websites and a fulltime job the time isn't there. So with the current rate of mods going on in HaloPC vs. what the mods actually are I understand fully why the section is neglected sometimes with emblems and senior members feedback down there and it is totally valid to do so. There are some users I feel need a emblem for work they do like Philly and TAZZ to name 2 off the top of my head. I spend all my time down there usually so I see it first hand alot I guess by interacting with these people on and off forums.
Time to turn my frustration inward and use it to try to do something new never done even if it is something simple. Maybe it will inspire someone or something. Doubtful, but anything is worth a shot right? Either that or send Cuda that pm for the month vacation or something
EDIT: Now im being flamed.. O'Yay Fo Meh..

How is a clock like a soaring eagle? How is a train like a butterfly? Stupid shit like that!!!!!! I hate it! We used to have little circle groups and talk about the most irrelevant, dumbest fucking topics. And my teacher always favored hispanic students or black students. She used to talk about constant bullshit, how oversensitive assholes may get offended by being called 'black'. I'm sorry, Mr. Kind African-American. But I jus be sum stupid lil cracka.
Sorry, got off topic. That doesn't happen this year though. GTAF, how long have you been in college? Is it your freshman year?

I'm in a program called the Joint Enrollment Honors Program (JEHP for short, we all just say it like "Jet"). I'm a senior at my high school still, but I take all of my classes at a nearby college (Kennesaw State University for those who know of it). They give me college credit which I can transfer when I actually go to college, and really I could have even lived on campus if I wanted to...so basically it's a mock freshman year.Dissolution241 wrote:Sorry, got off topic. And so continues the retard chronicles:

"In his first interview with the press, the plaintiffs' lawyer, Jason Gibson, explained the gamers' side of things to MTV News."
MTV news, a reputable news source for legitimate lawsuits.
"These are not guys looking to get rich," Gibson said in a telephone interview from Houston Tuesday. "They are in their late 20s and 30s. They are college-educated. These are not young kids who just turned 18 and [want] to sue for the fun of it. This is, to them, a real issue."
Bullshit. They sued Microsoft after a few days of the service being less than fully functional. It was not down. It was having issues. It was being worked on.
"When you have one person who is mad and they can't get a response, and they can't get their complaints addressed by a company like Microsoft, the only way to get their attention is in numbers"
Their complaints were addressed. Major Nelson was everywhere with updates, constantly addressing the issues and progress. Being ignorant of such information does not give you a legitimate reason to sue for it.
"If they had not anticipated the sales, then they would not have put out that many units of the Xbox to begin with."
Nobody said it was even due to sales. The issues started before Christmas, 2-3 days before, if I recall correctly. Good job with the fact check, Mr. $20 lawyer.
"They take the money for the subscriptions, but they don't make sure that the service is going to be there"
Yes, they do. They were working on it the entire time. The service was not down. It was having issues. I don't know how many times these people will make me say that. Furthermore, they are compensating people for the money they spent, so good fucking logic there.
I fucking hate these stupid ass people. None of this makes any God damn sense, and they are the only ones who don't see it. Why? Because they don't give a fuck. They didn't bother looking for information before coming up with the bright idea to sue Microsoft. The service is not guaranteed 100% of the time, it was never down, and they are paying the customers back for the issue. So remind me again, where is the logic behind the suit?

Fuck my English Final.
We have two hours to write a minimum ten page essay in class. It has to include information on twelve books that we've gone over in class, and you need quotes memorized from each. We need to include four different literature motifs (three books for one). We need to include "the thirteen traits of a hero", compare Dionysus to Apollo, and interpret the books towards alter ego, dualities, or fertility. Fuck that fucking shit.

I mean, writing an essay that long wouldn't be so bad. Having to memorize quotes from twelve books is definitely pushing it though. You should just cheat, that's what all the cool kids do. C'mon scott, peer pressure is cool.noscottno wrote:No! Our English teacher has been teaching for like thirty years and is the head of the department. Lawl, I'm probably writing on the desk beforehand.Munsie wrote:I mean, writing an essay that long wouldn't be so bad. Having to memorize quotes from twelve books is definitely pushing it though. I was being stupid and attatched one of those stretchy band things used for working out to one of those things you turn to open windows, then pulled back on the stretchy band to start my work out. The little handle for the mechanism that opens the window flew off and smacked me right on my upper chest, just below the neck. It's made out of metal and flew at a really fast speed, plus the stretchy band hit me in the face. Now I got a nice bruise on my chest where it hit me.
Yeah, i'm that stupid (those handles for the window openers always come off pretty easily)
