The Official Happiness Thread
This is hilarious.
I was looking for an estimate of the number of planets in the universe, to use in a post in the 'Aliens or blah blah' thread, and I came across this:

Only 8, Pluto was recently declared not to be a planet =)
Oh, universe lol. Don't know, but that's for our galaxy.
8 planets in the galaxy, according to Avameris, clearly a certified genius.
Last count there are two hundred.
farrell_stu, another brilliant person.
There are 9 planets in the universe.
SUE N, fucking amazing.

I agree Tural. There are between 9 and 200 planets in the ENTIRE universe. Lol, you would think that these people would know their stuff.
For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.

...what...SUE N wrote:There are 9 planets in the universe. First of all if you want to know Pluto is not a star as it has two moons. Planets whether small or large that don't have moons around them are called stars as their magnetic field and gravity is too small to attract anything in space.

It is expected, and demanded.Tural wrote:MrMurder, we're going to hold you to that promise.

Indeed! FoF made me pretty respectable at Guitar Hero.Kirk wrote:However, I've been managing to do the guitar on expert on quite a few songs. I guess all that frets on fire did help, heh.
Just a bit more to get myself into the Top 10 posts, where I was when it was just Files/Users. >:3
Also, Tural, infinite. Unless you only want known planets...

If space is infinite, then there is infinite space for an infinite number of planets.Tural wrote:The planet count is finite. Being ridiculously large and being infinite are different concepts. At any given time, you could say 'there are this many planets that exist in the universe.'shadowkhas wrote:Also, Tural, infinite. Unless you only want known planets...
Or so goes my logic.

You can't have an infinite number of physical objects. You could count the number of planets and say 'There are X number of planets in the universe.' Just because there is room for an infinite amount does not mean there is an infinite amount of planets. With the universe constantly expanding outwards, one would reason that at a point, there is an end to what is moving outwards. If you're following with the big bang theory, which I can only assume you are in a discussion about this sort of thing, then you can definitively say there is a certain amount of matter that exists. Matter can not be infinite, there is a set amount of matter in existence, as it can not be created nor destroyed, both as dictated by the Law of Conservation of Mass. In addition to that, you can not prove space is infinite.shadowkhas wrote:If space is infinite, then there is infinite space for an infinite number of planets.

Barack Obama won (will win, rather, when the voting numbers are all turned in) Texas, not Hillary Clinton, as most media sources reported.
Obama Primary Votes: 1,358,785 - 47% - 61 Delegates
Clinton Primary Votes: 1,459,814 - 51% - 65 Delegates
Obama Caucus Votes: 23,918 - 56% - 37 Delegates
Clinton Caucus Votes: 18,620 - 44% - 30 Delegates
By the overall method of decision, Clinton wins the Primary, Obama wins the Caucus. Both can claim a win. By delegates, he leads her by 3 in Texas. Meaning he did, in fact, win the majority of Texas delegates, which is what the race is about.

For some reason it was like there was a ton of lag, because any time I went 1 vs 1 in grifball I was dead, and I tried like every distance between me and the enemy to initiate the hammer.. All my kills were based on aiming towards the biggest concentration of the enemy... Usually via flank.
I usually was the person who scored most on my team though, which in reality, the only thing that mattered.
supermodder, you have no real life, I see.
