My rant...why do people say "no offense?" That makes their point null and they're saying nothing.Halo4Ever wrote:That person needs to get a life (no offense). Thats all I am saying.
"Your friend's stupid, not to call him stupid, but he is!" Or something like that. It's pointless. Just either make your statement and mean it or don't try to get out of it.

Not only do the marines in halo 3 drive poorly when your on turret, but when your not with them, they run you over numerous times...And then shoot rockets at me...
Gee thanks guys, way to pay me back for killing that scarab by shooting me with a rocket after I kill the hunters >=(
Maybe they get dumber the higher difficulty you are so you can own more...
Another rant, I'm seeing guys from halomods play campaign on normal by themselves...Man up

I disagree. Anyways, it's clear we are making no progress here. You think it's a legitimate skill to exploit a glitch and use it to gain an unfair advantage over people who do not choose to exploit glitches and play the game as it was intended. I don't care if it's a skill, it's still the exploitation of a glitch in the game which allows you to gain an unfair advantage over people who don't know about it, because it's not meant to be like that, and therefore isn't out there in the manual and such. Your argument that "anyone can do it" hardly changes anything. It does not help your point at all, in any way. Does it take skill? Yes. Does it take the same kind of skill that the game should take, the skill of actually playing in a legitimate fashion? No. Does it taking skill make up for the fact that you still have the ability to do something someone else can't do? No. That's like saying modding is alright because anyone can do it if they wanted to and tried hard enough. One thing that really pisses me off about this is the way people treat these exploits as a measure of skill in the game. I've repeatedly seen people ask others if they can do such things, as a way of assessing their abilities. Really, they don't care about how good the player is, they just care about doing whatever it takes to win a game. Skill doesn't matter to those who consider themselves the best, they think winning is a measure of skill, rather than how well you can truly play the game.Modtrocity wrote:I don't think just because one person can do it and another can't doesn't mean it's unfair. It's not like they just suddenly learn do it perfectly. It takes time to build up to where you can do it efficiently enough to actually use it. It's a skill that you have to work at to improve. Everyone can do it, it's just those who choose to and those who don't. I don't see someone who has taken the time to perfect a skill being classified as unfair because they can use it better than someone else.
As for the BXR, it's really not as easy as it seems. Yes, anyone can bxr someone standing still, (I hope). But to actually use it in combat, it's not that easy. It takes practice. And if it was so easy, why doesn't everyone use it?
