December 12, 2012 is the closest that the world will get in exact line up with the center of the universe. Last time this happened is when Atlantis sunk (25,000 years ago) and it was because the poles shifted. However, many scientists don't think it will happen this time. They think our consciousness will move to the 2nd degree.

- Oh and legendary, no, the world will not "explode", if anything happens, the poles will shift causing flooding and earthquakes.

The poles shifting is a natural cycle... I knew a crapload about it but I forgot most ;_;... But it shouldn't cause earthquakes and floods... It's not the poles literally shifting, it's magnetic north and magnetic south basically switching out processes. Right now, magnetic north generates the magnetic shield protecting us from harmful UV rays, while the south does a little bit of the work (I believe... Like I said, I'm a little rusty on my earth sciences right now...)

The thing is, no one can see into the future as much as it might make your life interesting. We can predict what might happen on a path (such as where we may be in the galaxy to then), but you cant know for sure. Just because big balls of mass are aligned doesn't mean some holy magical thing is going to happen to either kill us all or give us special powers... It's just gravity doing it's thing.

I don't believe this is a doomsday event, I do not believe we will shift into another state of awareness... But hey, I could be wrong. I just seriously doubt it because I'm stuck up like that.

Atlantis was a fictional island created by Plato in his writings. There isn't a single ounce of proof it existed from anyone and no source from before Plato. People in his time knew it was fiction. And according to a person's dialogue in Plato's writings it would have still been around ~11,000 years ago.

There is no scientific proof of a pole shift occurring nor any sort of degrees of consciousness. I sincerely hope that you aren't currently donating any money or any of your time to any of these "scientists."

Also, if anyone goes to a Major College and the scientists there are offering to do drug tests, make sure you do one and do Acid or DMT.

I think something will happen on that day. There are so many people saying so many different things. If something happens on that particular day, who know what it will be. It may be stoppable or unstoppable. I guess the only thing we can do is hope for the best, we cannot look into the future. I think people should just go on with life now, make the best out of it.

the only thing that is going to happen on that day is someone is going to think that something is going to happen on that day, and they will make something happen. what happens exactly depends on who that person is and how many of them there are. at least, that's my opinion.
