Macs have their own form of executable file.

Everything you'll ever need to know about me.
Need help with Linux, C#, C, Python, Java, PHP, Javascript, CSS, or VB? I'm available from 3:00PM-8:00PM EST on weekdays.
Alright, heres my last post in this argument, cause after this I think I'm gonna get my point across. I'm gonna be a bit more nice in this post too.
Macs are more suitable college, and high powered pojects you need to do for work. They are really organized, and more pleasing to the eye, they are the ultimate eye candy other than pr0n. The bar at the bottom makes things easyer, its like the toolbar on steroids. And I really love how the start menu is at the top and all I see is a little apple instead of this huge green button that says Start. The Mac OS is just so much more cooler to me than the PC.
PC's are more for customization and games. Even though Macs run games really really well, the prices are rediculous. What else can I really say about PC's, they are cheaper which is why most households, buisnesses, and poor colleges choose them, which is why Macs and thier software cost so much.
I'm more of a Mac guy because I absolutely hate worrying about "Is my computer up to date with all the game's processing needs?". Theres nothing worse seeing an awsome game and buying it at gamestop or best buy, installing it, and running it on my computer just to have it crash because my computer can't handle it. That hasn't happened to me since I got my laptop, but It's bound to happen someday. So because Macs are very low in variety, they won't release anything that the Mac can't handle, which, the Mac can handle all PC games out currently.
There, that was a lot more friendly of a post wasnt it?

I agree, I like the more business look of pc's then the (in my opinion) cheesy girly look of macs. Also, even though I don't support macs, heres an arguement I thought up. K here goes.
So, the arguement that the reason macs don't get hacked as much is becuase they are a minority, and if everyone had them, then they'd get hacked more. A good arguement indeed. But that is more hypothetical. The reality is, even though if everyone used macs and got hacked, that's not the way it is right now. Simply, for the mac users right now, since they are a minority, they really don't get hacked as much. The simple reality is that macs dont get hacked. Yet.

Same here! If I had my choice, my start menu would be a black and white box.Tural wrote:Yes.![]()
I'm just the opposite about the UI. I like the professional look as opposed to the relaxed, "pleasing" look. I don't even like how relaxed the XP style is, I use the Windows Classic theme.
Oh, and you can put a windows start menu on the top, not that hard. On my old Pentium I, I had the start menu on the right hand side.

i prefer pcs.MAC r good 4 buisness and media shit but other than that there like the nintendo corp. ther behind and always will be,yes mac can be good and they don't get many virus but ther never going to be as powerfull nor can u customize a mac and build 1 from scratch.not much software for them.if ther is it comes out a year after pc. mac has the 1 click mouse which sucks.mac is slower, not as many options on mac either.

Not anymore they don't. They have two click, actually I think it goes up to like 4 different ways to click it for different effects depending on what you do with it.sniperwolf wrote:i prefer pcs.MAC r good 4 buisness and media **** but other than that there like the nintendo corp. ther behind and always will be,yes mac can be good and they don't get many virus but ther never going to be as powerfull nor can u customize a mac and build 1 from scratch.not much software for them.if ther is it comes out a year after pc. mac has the 1 click mouse which sucks.mac is slower, not as many options on mac either.

I'm willing to be that you'll eat your words. Mac is making a comeback like no business I've ever seen. Mac purchases have exploded since the Intel switch and iPod - and they're not showing any signs of stopping.sniperwolf wrote:i prefer pcs.MAC r good 4 buisness and media **** but other than that there like the nintendo corp. ther behind and always will be,yes mac can be good and they don't get many virus but ther never going to be as powerfull nor can u customize a mac and build 1 from scratch.not much software for them.if ther is it comes out a year after pc. mac has the 1 click mouse which sucks.mac is slower, not as many options on mac either.
Not to mention, Mac are by no means slower than PCs. A dual processor quad core Mac Pro outpaces any high-end PC, and at a fraction of the price. The new Intel based Mac's feature the Intel Core Duo/Solo and Core 2 Duo that blow many other processors out of the water. Applications running natively on the Intel chipset have been shown to run significantly faster than their PC counterparts.

Quoted for truth and a good point.The_Hushed_Casket wrote:I'm willing to be that you'll eat your words. Mac is making a comeback like no business I've ever seen. Mac purchases have exploded since the Intel switch and iPod - and they're not showing any signs of stopping.
