I never really liked him, I think it's just my whole echo effect, I only like music after it's been out for at least 2 or 3 years, I don't know why.

Trent Reznor wrote: Hello everyone. I've waited a LONG time to be able to make the
following announcement: as of right now Nine Inch Nails is a totally
free agent, free of any recording contract with any label. I have
been under recording contracts for 18 years and have watched the
business radically mutate from one thing to something inherently very
different and it gives me great pleasure to be able to finally have a
direct relationship with the audience as I see fit and appropriate.
Look for some announcements in the near future regarding 2008.
Exciting times, indeed.
I'm so happy for them! Finally they are free! Also the Y34R Z3R0 R3M1X3D CD/DVD is ready to print. The current release date is November 20th.

Also a a great band to check out is Modwheelmood, I think their music style is really interesting, and cool sounding.

I think you need more variation in your music. Perhaps some Mariachi, or World Music would expand your knowledge.

I think someone should be allowed to listen to whatever music they want. Also, that's a pretty wide variety. (There's a large gab in styles between Justin Timberlake and Rush).

Still, Kirk is clearly being narrow minded and I don't think either of you are open to real music. The only real music I know of is world music.

Real music is an opinionated statement.
I think Kirk has a nice selection there with the exception with a couple things, but hey, no big deal, it's just music. Music taste is a really personal thing.

What music is you listen to, JK-47? Do you listened to 'Rap' music or 'Metal' music with the rock and rolled??

Exactly. You need to expand your horizons. I suggest you listen to March of the Tsutsii.

My horizons are as expanded as I want. I listen to everything, including rap, hell, I can even stand a couple female artists. It all depends on their sound and message.

I listen to Country, Metal, Rock, Industrial, some rap (if it's not about secksin up hoes and bustin kapz in da criptz ass), some pop, electronica, bla bla bla bla.

My favorite bands would be:
Depeche Mode, Teddybears, Coldplay, Everlast, Interpol, Gary Allan, Maroon 5, Blaqk Audio, Linkin Park, Rancid, Incubus, Smashing Pumpkins, Death Cab for Cutie, Shiny Toy Guns, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blue October, The Rasmus, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Nine Inch Nails, H.I.M., +44, Transplants, Avenged Sevenfold, Enigma.

The list just goes on, and on, and on.

I'll try out that band you posted though.

Don't be sexist and try to exclude female singers. Also, all your artists is in the same genre of music. Expand your horizons, try world music.

It's not socially accepted for guys to like female artists. Which is why I stated it, is because I don't care what others think, I like some female artists.
And no, a lot of those bands are quite diverse from each other. For example, you can't match a country singer such as Gary Allen, to Nine Inch Nails, which are Industrial. And you can't compare Blue October to Red Hot Chili Peppers, etc.
Stop telling me to expand my horizons, please. You can't force others into liking your kind of music; like I stated before, music taste is highly personal.

I'm not trying to be rude here, but try to learn more about things before you try to argue.

Currently A Perfect Circle are really high on my list. Darkest Hour and Norma Jean top my heavy listening list. I'm usually not much for Darkest Hour's genre, but they do it so well. Norma Jean is simply hard not like if you enjoy loud, fast, and heavy. DC Talk, Hillsong United, and Jason Upton top my favorite Christian artists. DC Talk for their innovation and powerful lyrics. Hillsong United for their great playing styles and innovation to the Worship genre. And Jason Upton for his extraordinarily powerful lyrics and music. Crystal Method, Royksopp, and Infected Mushroom top my Technoish list. Led Zeppelin, Clapton, and Jimi Hendrix top my classic rock list for reasons I shouldn't even have to specify. I love the Motown oldies. Collective Soul is great for average day listening. Breaking Benjamin would be considered a band I can really enjoy in the right mood. Favorite Girl bands include Evanescence, Barlow Girl, Superchick, and hell, I even like Avril's Girlfriend. What can I say, I can't help but listen when it comes on the radio. I'm a huge Incubus fan and love it when they release new stuff. Their work on the Halo 2 soundtrack was even impressive. I love a lot a lot jazz such as J-Walk. Really the only rap I listen to would be Matisyahu, but he's mostly Reggae. I have a tendency to listen to a lot of old school Linkin Park when I'm in the mood. Plus I have tons more bands that fall under similar genres that I really like. My music library as well as music variety is huge, and even includes some World music Dissolution. I simply love music. Really the only kinds I don't enjoy would include most rap, and most country.

Edit: JK-47, I finally got most every NIN album the other week. :) I just lack Pretty Hate Machine, and iTunes doesn't sell it.

My brother brought home this CD by a band called Broken Iris, as he went to high school and is friends with the lead singer. It's pretty awesome.
