I would hardly think that youtube videos would be enough to convince me that the power of the mind can control external forces/objects. It can only control your own body.
So really...No...I would not ever consider it possible. Except via evolution, however, we'd kinda require a need for it and maybe......thousands of years too.
Wouldn't this crykokensis technically be the easiest to fake? "I CAN MAKE THE WATER RIPPLE USING MY MIND!" or "I can make it move in a perfectly straight line [aside: through a tube that you can't see]!"

True, the Cyrokinesis is the only one I don't believe. I have not seen any evidence that even shows some one faking it. Aside from someone who melted ice then played it backwards to make it seem he is making liquid into ice.

Kudos charts:

I've known that trick since I was little... That part of the spoon bends easy. And he even heats it.
I like his little "Ima pretend punching nothing to make it look like I'm bending without touching coz I r kool"
Especially when telekinesis is movement with the mind...Tha hand motion was required
Also, I liked some kid's comment:
I'm not saying that telekinesis is fake but if people were REALLY going to try to prove it, why are they only doing psi wheels or spoon bending "tricks"?
Exactly...Find us a youtube video where they decided to levitate a plasma screen tv or a bus...Or doesn't the mind have that kind of muscle strength? (coz obviously muscles are required

Seriously, though, that video you posted was such an act. The guy doing the Brain-induced spoon bending fit every stereotype we've given the super-smart. It is all a part of his illusion.
Anyway, I don't want to talk about this anymore. My head hurts from making my keyboard type this for me.
Ciao
Explain to us why he heats the bowl then puts some lotion type stuff on the outside? Why can't he just get someone else to film him and he goes around picking stuff up by just lifting his hands?...Senor_Grunt wrote:How would you explain the videos then, I haven't found one single way the guy doing the psiwheel is faking it.

personally, if it doesn't involve something we cannot understand (separate dimensions, etc) then i find it likely to be involved with the electro-magnetic spectrum, and possibly harmonics in it.
For example, electro-magnetic fields can mess with your brain, because your brain communicates with electricity (and chemicals, but we won't go into that). I've read this a while ago, so i don't remember any sources, but i have read about a family that complained of odd happenings/ghost sightings, as if their house were haunted. when investigating the house, it was found that electro-magnetic interference was to blame from something like improperly insulated electrical wires in the house, or possibly overhead power lines... anyways, synapses were having false firings in their brain from the background electro-magnetic energy in/around their house.
After reading wikipedia recently about this (in the EEG article) i used to be sure the brain sent out 'waves' of some sort from it's neurons, but it says i'm wrong. However, I think to myself that if the brain operates with electricity, even if it's very little, then wouldn't it create electro-magnetic fields each time a neuron fires? now, maybe in normal thought our collective neurons don't fire in synchronization, and therefore just generate static, but if these people that claim to be psychic can sync up their neurons somehow, maybe they could use harmonics to increase the strength of the magnetic field their neurons make? just my theory on how it could work in electro-magnetics, but i'm likely wrong. However, I would like to see some very specific EEG research done on someone who claims to be psychic, both in normal circumstances, sleeping, and practicing their telekinetics, or whatever.

ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

wow thats just sad fake really, i mean in the first vid he takes his hand away for like 5 seconds ,enouth time to attactch a magnet to the back of his hand and thats wut moved it. i dont belive in any of this, and dont understand how anyone would, i mean what force do you suggest that the mind has, to use to move any objects, basicly all of the above vids = magic = fakeSenor_Grunt wrote:Telekinesis (psiwheel n such):

I've been trying Pyrokinesis , and reading up on it for the past couple of weeks. I think it's pretty interesting. I set up a little practice area. I got an empty Altoids tin, filled it with regular wax, then stuck a small candle inside. That way if the flame goes out of control I can pour some water on it, or close the tin.
I tried for a couple of hours, I've been trying the dancing flame trick. It may all be in my head, but the flame seems to follow my fingers, even when I move them extremely slow.
I honestly think it's very interesting. Though it may be fake, or impossible. It's fun to try. Plus when you have nothing to do, it's a great.

Has anybody heard of Derren Brown?
He can put a plastic bag on his head, stop his hearbeat and walk around on a bed of nails, all at the same time.
I reckon this is the same type of thing, it's either trickery of immense concentration.

For anybody still wondering where FTD has gone, here it is.

Frankly, I like Derren Brown's things on persuasion and affecting people and how they think more.
Pyrokinesis looks like it's not that hard. No kidding that the flame will follow your fingers if they're close enough...your fingers are making small air currents that move the flame.
Do it from 50 feet away, then I'll be more inclined to believe you.
