I blame society. In this age everyone considers a single push to a child as child abuse. Complete bull shit. Parents SHOULD hit their kids, but not on a regular basis. Parents spoil their kids far too much, we never have to work for ANYTHING. I have a friend who gets $15.00 a week for simply wiping the table with a washcloth every day. That is a 2 minute job at MOST. You know where all these panzy-ass problems in society come from? Rich and spoiled people! Nobody cares about what the person who makes minimum wage thinks, they all go for the rich people! Think about Paris Hilton. Spoiled little imbecile who can't spell her own name, definitely got anything and everything she wanted when she was little, and yet everyone would choose to listen to her over the waitress at a local restaurant? Because she's got a shitload of money? And believing her is going to earn yourself money or be profitable how? All of these actors and rich idiots screaming 'DIVERSITY! NO VIOLENCE!' in your face are to blame here. This guy's mother probably spoiled the hell out of him, following the ideals that you should never strike a child. Why do I say this? Because he wants to kill her! He doesn't realize that she spat him out of her own ass (not literally) fed him, gave him a place to stay, and probably went out of her way every day just for him. If she WERE to hit him when he deserves it, he may realize that everything isn't just about him. If she hadn't spoiled him, he might have avoided attempting to kill his parents.
I could be completely wrong about her spoiling him, but if I am right, then lady, it IS your 'baby boy', and it is YOUR doing.

I partially agree with you on society being pansy's, but you take it to an extreme extent. It's a good thing you said you could be completely wrong, because nobody here even knows much of the big picture of the story, there could be a lot more here than just the grounding or the spoiling of the kid. I don't claim to know, but this kid is messed up if being grounded caused him to do this, definitely mental problems, maybe he just had a bad series of stuff happen all at once and became a little crazy or maybe his parents/other things were making him crazy all his life. I hardly take it to an extreme. Look at today's youth. There is absolutely no respect for adults such as parents or teachers, or anyone else. You know why? Because parents don't MAKE their kids be respectful. It may sound harsh, but I'd rather have it harsh than have idiot kids with no sense of respect running around trying to be cool and show off by beating the crap out of each other and other people. Believe me, there is a LOT of disrespect today. parents don't even punish their kids any more, i used to have the shit beat out of me if i did something wrong but i would never have put a hit on my parents you can say tv, n video games did it but he knew what a hit man would do and didn't have any resentment of the fact that his parents would die. sure its partially his parents fault but its also his own choice he knows right from wrong.
Again, this kid most likely had mental problems, combined with the fact that your brain doesn't fully develop until about your 20's I think, and the part that doesn't develop is decision making, and thinking of the consequences of the decisions, he was probably(I can't say I'm not him) thinking of how mad he was when he tried to take out the hit, not that his parents would actually die. I'm not saying not to punish him at all, what he did was wrong, but wow guys, saying we need to lock someone away for life because they have some problems like this... No, I do believe that a lot of kids are idiots now, but kids don't need to beat their kids. They need to not give them everything they want. I've never been beaten, but I don't try to kill my parents, I'm not a complete idiot...

And the same applies to me.. my parents didn't beat me and i'm not a bloody idiot like 90% of my school.. Swear to god I'd never put up with half the crap the kids on my bus do to the bus driver, just the things they say and I know the bus driver can hear it. The bus driver wasn't at fault in those occasions either, the kids go around acting like idiots and act like it's the bus drivers fault that they get written up.
I'm not saying parents should beat their kids like that. A push, threat, or a punch to the shoulder is what I meant. Not showing a few little physical threats is practically babying a child. They realize that after all the times you threaten to do something, you never do it, so they take advantage of you.
