I've thought about it. Probably Environment Creator/3-D Modeler. But my major will be computer science and possible a side minor with microprocessor physics as well as computer hardware science. My major minor (if there is such a thing) will be Game Programming.
I'm good as an artist but I like the programming side.

All i do on the computer is basically for fun and doesn't reflects towards my future at all,
I am going to be following in my dads footsteps, running his construction company, I'll be running it with him for awhile, I've been helping him out since I was 12, And I know how to run just about any piece of machinery, He said I'll be starting out as supervisor this summer when I'm 17 with a starting of 25 dollars an hour, I already have a company cell phone, he'll also be paying my insurance bills in the future as well, I know it might be weird for people like me to be working for their father and stuff, but its actually not to bad, just don't mess things up. And don't think being a supervisor is easy because its not, running everything is actually stressful, he let me run a job for a week once last year, I had to manage everything, down to ordering materials correctly, making measurements on the job for concrete pouring etc. But It'll be good, I'm lucky that I'll have a good paying job for my age.

I hopefully will be attending The California Maritime Academy in the near future. Mostly for business, but I may get an engineering degree and a degree in marine transportation. Once I've got that, I may decide to join the Navy or Coast Guard (probably coast guard) as a full commissioned officer. Or, I might join the merchant marines as an officer. I'm not sure where I would be quite yet. All I know is that I would like to be on a ship and travel across the world.
Kind of an odd career path for someone who spends a lot of his time on the computer...

the locksmithing sounds extremely interesting. i was trying to pick up lockpicking as a hobby myself, but being cheap, i decided to try and make picks out of hacksaw blades, but my files aren't nearly strong enough to shape the hardened steel. i'll check it out later if i get a dremel.
i play trumpet, but i don't think i'm gonna major in music or anything. it's really interesting, and i enjoy playing, but i'm afraid i won't have time to keep up with it in college.
i plan on getting a computer science degree. i've been looking at tennessee tech mainly, but i need to see if U Mich has a good CS program. once i get out of college, i want to get some sort of computer security related job, maybe get hired by/start a penetration testing company.

Yeah that sort of what happened to me...Halo4Ever wrote:All i do on the computer is basically for fun and doesn't reflects towards my future at all,
Originally I wanted to be a computer programmer... But I decided I really don't have the right kind of patience for that. I have patience for waiting. i.e., I can be stuck with nothing to do for a day and I can get by.
Yeah, i'm not a huge fan of the whole water deal, but in reality I don't mind it a ton, which is where the Marines comes in for me, I don't necessarily mind boats, it's just running them that bungs me outLocke wrote:Once I've got that, I may decide to join the Navy or Coast Guard (probably coast guard) as a full commissioned officer. What exactly are the merchant marines?
From what I've seen (and i've seen a lot) the Coast Guard would probably the most similar to a normal life. Where I used to live is home to basically the largest Coast Guard base in the US (I think Hawaii might have one bigger, not sure though) and practically one in ten of the residents of that town were in the Coast Guard.
