[Nintendo Wii] Official Console Numbers and Discussion
Hehe. Maybe it's because you need to play some real games, like Zelda!
ftw.
I actually haven't played one game for the Wii besides the sports, but I've done my research. 70% of the people say Zelda is by far the best game for the Wii.
ftw.

Meh... don't judge game by it's graphics.
I have much more fun playing a simple tennis game with the new Wii controller, then mashing buttons on the PS3 or 360.
Not saying they aren't still fun though.

hehe here we go, some people have gotten defensive already. As I previously said, you get immersed when playing wii games...However with something that actually looks horrible (in an attempt to look realistic) it just plain sucks, it ruins the immersion... The reason I didn't bring anything up with the other games is that they can look pretty in their own way because they aren't trying to look realistic.Zoner117 wrote:Exactly.pyroman31 wrote:I think the Wii is about fun factor, not the gfx factor.
You cannot deny though, that a vivid graphical splendor, such as headshotting someone in the latest next generation game, with the blood & chunks and the ragdoll physics with the booming sound effects don't go together to make a game much more satisfying and more fun than something like doom (You can't say it can't be compared because you're arguing gameplay counts and graphics doesn't...Doom is very fun)
CoD3 does indeed have some of the worst graphics I've seen on a console since even the N64. But the game itself is actually really fun. Has some very exciting shoot-em-up parts and a pretty darn nice weapon set. Also, don't judge Wii graphics from this game. Graphics wise it was poorly made and even makes the gamecube look bad. The Wii can do much better.
The Wii claimed its first fatality the other day. A radio show had a contest "Hold your wee for a Wii", the object being to drink lots of water and hold it in for as long as possible. A woman died of kidney failure. That and other things such as TVs smashed by Wiimotes and people somehow managing to break their legs (how?) have given the Wii quite a violent image. And when the PS3 came out, people waiting in line were shot and run over. I'm just glad I have a nice peaceful 360.

Those who can't play, mod.
And those who can't mod, mod PC.
That woman was calling in from Rancho Cordova in Sacramento, California, on a radio station for Sacramento called 107.9.uralllame wrote:The Wii claimed its first fatality the other day. I live right next to Rancho Cordova, in Gold River, and the kind of people that live there are the kinds that come every Wednesday and make sure our lawn is manicured. The Wii thing was not a surprise.

Actually despite the "horrible graphics of the wii" as people have said zelda looks phenomonal considering the last time we saw a ligitamite zelda game (oot) was in the 90's. It might not be next-gen graphics but gameplay is through the roof. Btw i got ex-cite truck, rayman, and zelda but online is being teh pain so no connection yet..
I feel like stabbing you sorry...
My arguement is that the wii sucks at making things look realistic, such as Cod3...To quote myself here:
And I r also worried about long lasting appeal towards waving your arm everywhere. More for single player games than multiplayer

Uh, Wind Waker?
Depends on the game and how it's done. Wii sports' multiplayer doesn't suffer from that (If anything, multiplayer is the only thing that gives the game any sort of replay value)ScottyGEE wrote:And I r also worried about long lasting appeal towards waving your arm everywhere. I think the Wii was made to appeal to Japan, American nintendo sympathizers, and American non gamers. Considering Japan doesn't give two sh

I was about to post that, but I think he meant one that was going for a more typical look, rather than the cel-shaded art style of Wind Waker.Dan!! wrote:galvination wrote:Actually despite the "horrible graphics of the wii" as people have said zelda looks phenomonal considering the last time we saw a ligitamite zelda game (oot) was in the 90's.

But either way, he is also forgetting Majora's Mask.
Majora's mask should be completly remade for the xbox 360...Obviously nintendo would never ever ever do that but 360 sales would jump and so would my heart...
I've already finished it but its extremly clever gameplay combined with excellent graphics would be orsm...
Oh yeah...lets talk about that small throwable box called the wii again

Ocarina of Time would do a lot better. Considering both games have essentially the same graphics, and OoT is a lot more liked (best reviewed game of all time yo)ScottyGEE wrote:Majora's mask should be completly remade for the xbox 360...Obviously nintendo would never ever ever do that but 360 sales would jump and so would my heart...
