strange phone call
strange phone call
I was watching tv past midnight and then my cell began to ring, on the caller id it said:000-000-0000. then when i answered it there wasn't anyone there. I tried calling the number back but it said the number didn't exist.
Can anyone explain this to me?

is wasnt 000-000-0001, it was exactly 000-000-0000, plus read my double post, the message was sort of a howling mixed with gurgling.[GU]boxersh0rtz wrote:The caller ID has been covered up, My dad's company uses it It does it so you can't call them back or get there number. it was probally some company. i have never seen all zeros normally its like 000-0000-001

A few seconds on Google:
Also, it's not hard to spoof caller ID at all. It could be someone playing a prank, or it could be a telemarketer. Point is, it's nothing out of the ordinary really. Those are computer generated calls. The computer records the call and if someone answers, then the company knows when someone is home and available to answer calls.

Everything is literal now!flubber wrote:is wasnt 000-000-0001, it was exactly 000-000-0000
But seriously, it's no big deal. Nobody here is going to be able to give you an answer better than the ones already posted. It's a dummy number to mask the caller, but it is not something that warrants a thread. Fun is over.
