Futurama: Benders Big Score.

Post by Yamagushi »

As you may or may not know Futurama has been recently purchased by comedy central and now have a budget to work with. They have made 4 total movies, all 4 will be released. However, after there release movie will be split up into episodes and aired on comedy central. The first of these 4 movies entitled Benders Big Score was recently released. Being a big fan of Futurama this was something I looked quite foward to. I just rented the movie last night and if your a fan of Futurama this is a MUST-SEE.

Benders Big Score was 100% what I hoped for. It had a Great Storyline, Original Cast, and Witty Comedy. Kept me laughing the whole movie, and even almost brought a tear to my eyes. As a fan of Futurama(knowing the story and having seen the past episodes), I give this a 10/10. As a nice touch they even dissed Fox networks for canceling them in the beginning of the movie, and if you pay attention "Comedy Central" can be seen in a few places. I can't wait for the rest of the movies to come out this coming year.

Anyone else see it yet? Comments, etc?

I saw it. It was amazing. The included episode of ''Everybody loves hypno toad'' was equally amazing.

Yeah right, it was mediocre at best. The animation and stuff looked great, but the plot and jokes lacked significantly. I own all four seasons on DVD and this movie doesn't live up to any episode. It's nice to see Futurama back, but they really need to step up the jokes. I laughed out loud maybe once the entire movie, at the Family Guy calender. If I had to rate the movie, I'd say 5/10 for humour, 7/10 for plot, and 9/10 for overall animation quality.

Me and my friend watched it. We are die hard fans of Futurama. We've been watching it from the day it came out. We thought it was awesome. Though it was a movie, It just seemed like a long episode. I laughed my ass off nearly throughout the whole movie. I loved how they incorporated things from old episodes. Overall it was awesome, I just wish they weren't taking the show off Adult Swim :(

But, oh well. I'm going to watch the Christmas marathon.
