I was wondering if anyone here had any car stereo experience? If so, here is what im packing.
Headunit Alpine
2 - 12" JL 3v2s D2
2 - Fosgate P1's
1 - Power Aukistic 1000 Watt Amp (for JLs)
1 - Alpine 450 Watt Amp (for P1)
2 - Alpine 6x9 speakers
and terrible stock speakers
Anyway, the 1000 watts pushing the Jl's hits hard as hell, the problem is the fact that 1000 watts is way to much for the Jl's (i believe 500 Rms). I have been wondering, what kind of amp would make the Jl's hit just as hard, but not as dangerous? I have been looking at the 500/1 JL amp or possibly a Fosgate amp. Any suggestions? Price is not an issue.

Well you're not going to get the same power out of a weaker amp...that's just plain logic. However, there might be a point where you just can't feel the difference between some amps...if you can, go to an audio place, and ask if you can test out a couple, and just see what you like.

you have to decide what you're going to buy before you go in to buy it. if you walk in not knowing what you'll buy, you'll probably buy some more stuff. either that or just say "no thanks, i just need an amp."
ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>
