Who has ever read, the book? What about seen the movie?
I've read 2001 2010 2061 and 3001, and seen the movies for 2001 and 2010, the movies were a letdown for me, 2010 was missing important parts of the storyline.

2001 is a great movie, as said above, but nothing happens.

It's the longest movie about nothing I've ever seen.

That's the point....it's a movie about nothing, until you get to the end...then it all makes sense.

i get to see 2001 in like 2 weeks in my sci-fi class, he showed us a clip about a giant baby looking at an earth... that would be freeky.

It's not a giant baby...the camera is just zoomed in. That movie though...it's just amazing. At the end, you WILL crap bricks.
