My home room teacher doesn't care..
All my other teachers take it away..
Also, most of the time it's the other kids causeing the problems.. I never chew gum in school, or have my phone on in school, or listen to a mp3 player.. Why? because there all banned. Why? People put gun on desks..
Peoples phones ring in school... People have bad things on there mp3...
.. And the thing is, that there banned, and people still do them... Now, if they catch you with gum, you get suspended. Yes, for Gum.

same here. my phone is completely silent during school, and i have no urge to use it, but in class i see people texting all the time. for example, while we were learning about natural log (ln) and change-base formula, i saw at least one girl with her hand in her purse (on her phone) obviously texting. 1: if you ned to talk to someone that bad, wait for class to end, it's only a 40 minute long class, and 2: we're going to need to know this for a test in a few days.shadowkhas wrote:I don't get the idiots with their phones on during school. Mine is on, but I have it TOTALLY on silent. Not vibrate or anything. Some people can't get that through their heads.
whatever. it won't really matter whether the school bans mp3 players, etc. or not, because kids will stil bring them.
ASPARTAME: in your diet soda and artificial sweeteners. also, it's obviously completely safe. it's not like it will cause tumors or anything. >.>

4. At all times when the student is at a school bus stop;
5. At all times when the student is being transported on a school bus;
6. At all times when the student is participating in a school sponsored field trip or is otherwise being transported by any means of conveyance as part of a school group to a school related activity;
7. At such times as the student commits an act off school grounds which if committed on school grounds would be in violation of the Student Code of Conduct, the act has a nexus to the school, and, the act disrupts or is likely to disrupt the school environment; and,
8. In such circumstances as jurisdiction is extended to the school by federal, state, or local law, ordinance, or regulation.
i honestly think the only reason that ipods/mp3 players/etc. are banned is because the school dosnt want to replace them if theyre stolen so they make the excuse they shuldnt have had it any way

Dead on. The school doesn't want liability issues when they ALLOW them and then they get stolen.sneakyn8 wrote:i honestly think the only reason that ipods/mp3 players/etc. are banned is because the school dosnt want to replace them if theyre stolen so they make the excuse they shuldnt have had it any way

That sucks. At my school we can chew gum, listen to are MP3 players, I listen to my iPod all the time, well my 2nd period teacher will take it away but she is too old to see me listening to it in the back of the class, and but cell phones do get tooken away, but are parents have to come pick it up. If your 18 or older you can get it after school.
personaly i would go in ask if i can have my jump drive for my course work and that it has vital info on it for me to complete my work if that dosnt work wait till a tutor i knew ask them to get it for me.
well thats how it worked like 6 years ago......
