Join My Halo 2 Modding Team

Post by fjgamer »

I posted a topic about three months ago (after Christmas) about a team I wanted to form. Nobody even viewed that topic (as far as I know, the topic was wiped from existence), so I gave up for a while. Now, I'm more motivated than ever to complete my goals, because I have a wireless network set up... meaning I can connect my Xbox to the internet a lot more easily and play my mods with my modding team (or not).

Team FantasyJam
Short Form: Team FJ
Team FJ Website: http://www.fantasyjam.net
Halo 2-specific files: http://www.fantasyjam.net/h2files
Meaning Behind the Title: Fantasy for everyone's dreams or goals, Jam for putting those dreams together, and FantasyJam for, well, I think I explained it enough.

Team FJ is for more than Halo or Halo 2 modifications. I (and maybe others) will work on animations, music, and even original games (probably not for Xbox). However, this topic is for recruiting those interested in making awesome stuff happen in Halo 2.

What FJ Needs: Skinners, modelers, preview image creator (specific, I know, but I hate doing it), and AI editor.

What I Will Do: Website design (possibly Flash-powered), skinning, organizing the final map pack (containing all our mods, even the campaign if possible), and various modifications that need doing. Basically, I'm the webmaster, but I'll be an active part of the team, doing things when I'm needed.

Our Ultimate Goal: I plan to release a Halo 2 map pack containing tons of multiplayer maps with optional AI (using Yelo, of course). The AI maps will have "AI" printed on their preview images, so it won't be hard to find out which maps you want to play.

You can contact me privately for more information or simply post a reply to tell me you want to help.
I play on XLink Kai as FJGamer. (FJ is my Halo 2 profile.) I have a mic, and I love to play 8 on 8 mics versus no mics. I also love to mod Halo 2. For some reason Halo 1 won't work on system link, though.

My Mods
Plasma Shield Grenade (like the H3 Bubble Shield)

I will be a beta tester and I will do item placement (e.x. place extra weapon or vehickle spawns that don't replace anything) which is what I'm best at I know you didn't say it I'm just throwing it out there in case you do need it.

And I'm working on a great mod for headlong if you like the finished outcome could you put it in the map pack here are the specs:

HEADLONG:

what will be added:

Rain
Ground skinned for "lush" attribute
Vehicles skinned for lush attribute
Fuel rod gun spawn added not replacing
Grav. hammer spawn added not replacing
Pike spawn added not replacing
Brute plasy spawn added not replacing
Weapons skinned
Some weapons duplicated/skinned/sound changed/proj changed/effect changed/ect and then spawns added not replacing
EASTER EGG spawn added hard-to-get not replacing (I will only tell you if you put it in and of course other people assosiated with this)
Extra weapon spawns added not replacing
Grav throne spawn added not replacing
Flyable pelican spawn added not replacing
Sentinal beam spawn added not replacing
More banshees
Multiple hog variations (e.x. stealth, speed, agility, trans, power, ect,) spawns added not replacing
New sky for dreery look
AND MUCH MORE!!!!!!!

MAY BE ADDED:

Trees\w full collision
Quadwings flying
Ambient sounds
Bugs
Proper nail nade( I want the nail to blow in all directions not up like all chain-spawning)
Halo 3 weapons (models and everything) not replacing weapons or weapon spawns

I don't know what quadwings are, but I love everything else. Well, maybe not the extra banshees. Most amount of banshees you should have in that map is two. I personally think banshees are bad for Headlong. It's a medium size map with very few areas to explore. I saw the topic for the proper nail-nade. Wish you luck with that.

Item placement is a very helpful skill as well. I'd love your help with my "Ice Mounds" map. Talk to me privately if you're able to work on the map.
