Hey guys!!! Chris here this is about my 3rd day modding halo 2 and I have been doing surprisingly well (I think) i have made a 360 auto aim mod, weapon mods, skins, put halo 2 om my xbox so i could mod my original maps and some more all that you the community here at HALOMODS.COM!!!!!!!!!! So thank you alll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK!!! Now for the true point of this topic=]

What are the names for then maps that are not their In-game name?
Example: Dune.map and colossus.map?? What maps are those in the game??? Can you please put all the maps like that?

Dune.map would be Relic.
Colossus.map would be....well....Colossus.

Others:
Cyclotron.map is Ivory Tower
Derelict.map is Desolation
Highplains.map and is Tombstone
Highplains2.map is a fixed version of Tombstone
Triplicate.map is Terminal

Sorry I'm not perfect g.i.r and cant make anything better than 360 auto aim in my first 3-4 days... =] I just made that so I could level up but then i though about it and read that How to become a respected modder on the forum and i said "CHEATING TO WIN IS WRONG!!!!!!!" =]

No, not really. I just really hate cheaters.

I'm sick of people being so lenient over XBL cheating. He's a dirtbag, so treat him like a furfag and make him yiff in hell.

um..actually...bungie doesnt get as mad wen u do it bc u cant actually mod in matchmaking anymore...u get singed off in 30 secs....so it seems like he was lieing about even leveling up =/ just saying

I gotta side with G.I.R. on this one. Actually performing a cheat in game, constitutes premeditation; he knew what he was doing and why he was doing it. There are no second chances for that. We dont give serial killers a slap on the wrist because they say a few days later that they are sorry and that they have changed. Not to mention that with the wealth of tuts here, a n00b can easily create a much better first mod than an auto aim. As an example, my very try at modding, yielded waterworks with multiple teleporters and non standard weapons, coupled with a few new scenery changes for asthestics.

Good to know that I'm not the only one who feels that way.

My first mod I showed publicly included skins, biped swaps, and injected models. There is no excuse for this shit anymore.

By the way Kib's, work on that damnation map is still going strong. Theres a lot more verts than i realized so new skin is creeping along.

But hey dont let this stop the thousand more flamings of an auto aim douche bag! Kep it going G.I.R.......sry mods

Just kidding. Rather than flame this guy any more, I will take the high road and offer help. If you ned suggestions or help with actual mods let me know.

He has read and learnt! He has realized his fault! What is there to punish! He did not cheat!

You people would sacrifice him to eternal silence in the readers club to satisfy yourselves! He has committed no wrong! By showing that he refused to do so, he is in effect telling people and encouraging people not to cheat!
What kind of message would be sent by a staff member if he banned someone for learning and being good!? What else is HaloMods even here for?! To Teach! To encourage modding as an art form! That is what he has learnt. Do not punish him for it.

If anything, G.I.R. and SpecOp44 should be banned. They cursed the poor guy out; what do you think that does to him? Think he wants to mod now? Think he wants to keep going and visiting the site? Think they're sending a good message to possible joiners? Think they're being mature!?
G.I.R. says that there's no excuse for cheating on XBL anymore. Well there is no excuse for saying what he said. He acted highly immaturely, and deserves to be punished as much as Criss does.

What has human nature come to if we're to punish someone who has done no wrong, and has learnt a lesson before he acted the wrong?!

That argument is way out of the picture here. Two completely different scenarios, not even remotely close to being compared.

Regardless of everyone's opinions here. Let's keep it out of this discussion and let a moderator handle this according to their own standards...that's what they are here for. If they needed more opinions on punishment, they would ask.

And as for the lack of second chances, as far as I've seen, it's standard policy for XBL modders/cheaters here at Halomods, for anyone having admitted done so.

Edit: Actually, he never said he cheated. He said he made it to cheat, but then thought about it and read the post or whatever, and decided it was wrong. There is no solid evidence to prove he ever cheated.
