Halo 2 modded disk only loads ONE map

So, I have some modded Halo 2 disks. The reason I have so many of them is because it's one disk for one map right now...Which shouldn't be happening, right? I'll explain a bit more.

I've got the Halo 2 .iso from my own, unmodified, legit, Halo 2 disk. Then, I use H2 Iso Editor V2 to inject my modified old maps.

I was told to use something called SS patcher in the tutorial I followed, this did not work. Maybe this is my problem. When I try to load the .iso in SS patcher, it tells me it's not a valid .iso... well, if it's not a valid .iso, do you think it would load fine in my xbox and allow me to use a modded map? Obviously my .iso is fine because it does work, except only one map loads.

After I've injected the .iso, I burn it to a DVD-R using CloneCD at approx. 2x speed. I've tried 1x speed, it doesn't fix anything. So the speed can't be the problem.

Hmmmz, u seem to be putting too much work into this just for one map though...

Me personally, i would first make a modified MM, then get the original files i need, and then the modded map i made. Take Qwix and make my iso and burn to disc, should work no problem :D

Well, basically, that's what I'm doing. Except, I don't have a mainmenu, because no one seems to think anyone would need it.

hi guys!
well this is even my problem: i have original halo 2 and i made the iso; i decripted it and then i have the map folder, bink, etc.
i have moved teleporters and two vehicles with entity alpha in coagulation and i put a campaign weapon in buarial mounds!
then i made an udf dvd for xbox with nero with only mainmenu map, shared map, single player shared map, coagulation(modded), burial mounds(modded); i haven't modded other folders or files !
i made this dvd then i put it in my xbox and it starts as normal halo 2!
it displays microsoft game studios and bungie videos and then instead of starting the game it displays loading; it starts from 0% until 100%, then it restarts from 0% and when it arrives again to 100% it says that the disk may be dirty or damaged!
WHAT SHOULD I DO HELP ME PLEASE!

I have no idea, but I'm going to guess you need to edit the mainmenu so that it only has the maps that your putting on it.

Personally, if you're going to waste a DVD-R, then you should just add the modded maps to a clean mainmenu, then put all the maps on the disc and try that.

please help me so

Use Qwix to create the iso after you have made your modified maps. Hell, use Neodo's main menu patch to allow more maps to be placed. So you can have quite the large collection of modified maps on one dis. Just don't put the campaign maps in.

Extract every single one of the files from the contents of your iso. Find an iso extractor online somewhere. Then where the multiplayer maps go, put the modified ones. Make sure your modified maps have the same file name as the original maps when extracted. IE: coagulation.map, cycoltron.map...etc. Then remove all the campaign maps. That way you have space on the disc if you want to put even more maps onto the main menu to play. That would require you to edit the main menu though.

ok thanks

ok thank you !
but as i said i already extracted halo 2 files with dvd decripter so i don't need to do this again right?
i need to take the halo 2 files, go to maps, deleting all single player maps(already done), and putting modded maps instead of the originals!
in the last cd i only put mainmenu, shared, single player shared, burial mounds, coagulation(you can read this up in my message before this one!
so i must edit only a main menu and doing an iso instead an udf??
please answer

sorry when you read cd think about a dvd!
little mistake!

can you give me the link of a good mainmenu?

can you give me the name of a good mainmenu?
and can you tell me how to put it in the iso dvd?

Don't quadruple post.

Search for the program "Menu Menu Menu" Open the mainmenu, load it with the map info of the modded maps, and fill in a description and name. Right click on the big image in the center, and do relink bitmap and go up the list until you find the image of the map you originally based the map off. Save, resign, and put the maps on the disc, and make the ISO.

Oh, and I don't know much about multiplayer map discs, but I would include the singleplayer maps just incase.

at least

ok but!
i downloaded the 1000 main menu map pack!
if i patch the mainmenu with serenity and then i put it in a dvd is it ok?

thank you!
now at least it starts as normal halo 2!
i put only the multiplayer maps(only 1 of them modded)!
BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE MODDED MAP(COAGULATION MODDED WITH ENTITY ALPHA!)DOESN'T WORK!ALL THE NON MODDED MAPS WORK BUT WHAT I NEED IS PLAYING AT MY MODDED MAP!
HELP ME PLEASE?(I USED MAINMENU 1000 OF NEODOS)
PLEASE ANSWER!

Jesus Christ dude. There's a damn edit button, use it. Stop flooding the board with dozens of posts. Edit your post if you have more to add. Don't double post. Don't quad-post. Don't post in all caps. I'm going to remove your posting abilities if your posts continue to be so obnoxious.

Are you resigning your maps before burning them on the dvd? You failed to mention whether or not you were doing this. Also, make the .ISO with Qwix. Don't make a .UDF file.

what?

well i tried doing it with qwix ! it's the same of making an udf dvd!
what do you mean by resigning?
PLEASE HELP ME I'M BECOMING CRAZY!

Calm down...

IF you don't have AIO v2, get it. IF you do, go to resigners, and then go to and open the resigner for the original disc maps. Resign the map, and then put them on the disc. Burn it with qwix, and it should work.

I heard 1000 main menu slots isn't compatible with Menu Menu Menu, but if you got around it, no problem.

Use the above link to download the tool used to resign the maps. Once it's resigned, make the dvd as you usually would. I just mention Qwix because it makes the .iso exactly how it should be. I find .udf's to be annoying and more of a scarce file format. .iso is more..."universal" for lack of a better word.

wait wait wait

1. Open program.
2. Click the Encryptomatic Signature button on the left top side of the program window.
3. Find the map you want to resign and highlight it. Then hit the open button.
4. It should make a noise and give you a window stating it resigned it.
5. It's signed. Now try making your dvd and seeing if that worked.

* When you try to load a map, do you get a message saying it failed to load the map by chance?

well

Sounds like your menu is corrupt somehow. There isn't really a solution to your problem besides getting a clean mainmenu.map straight from your Halo2 disc. Put it in your xbox, then ftp to your xbox. Then in the D partition get the mainmenu.map. Then try reburning.

Alright, for the staff member that tried to remove the link...it didn't work.

Second, do you have your fonts folder where the maps are?

Third, quite screwing around with burning dvd's and put the game on your xbox so you can play it without wasting so many dvd's.

Fourth, calm the hell down. You can mod as long as you have the game and a modded xbox.

Fifth, There MUST be something wrong with either your main menu or your multiplayer map you are modding.

Trust me, it's so much easier and better to have the game ripped to your xbox's hardrive. Use this tutorial: http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=36612

Or just google around for a tutorial on how to get Halo2 onto your hardrive. I'm not in the mood to type it all out nor do I see a reason as to why you haven't done this already.

Please do what I ask so we can get on the right track.
