TDLT Active Scenery?

Well guys, I was using the tdlt tool on my modded map that i've added a lot of stuff to, only to find that it makes my map instantly fail to load. So I edited a clean map, tested it, got what I wanted, and tried to save the meta from the clean map of both of the tdlt tags, and inject them into my already modded map, and now I have no projectile. Is there some way I can do this?
Edit: Go to third post, thanks captain for the help, it worked.

EDIT: I always run the Bypass Map Checksum option in Yelo, but if you don't, then make sure you sign the map after you edit the tdtl. That would explain a "failed to load the map" error, as opposed to a game freezing error. I'm not sure which error you're getting.
If that's not the problem...
Rename your modded weapon on the clean map, rename the tdtl dependency, then extract the meta for the weapon and build it into your modded map. If you just build in the tdtl without cloning the Widgets reflexive on any weapon other than the sentinel beam, that might explain why it doesn't work.
The tdtl is a weird little beastie, unfortunately a little too hardwired for its intended application. I've heard of other people having problems transferring it between maps, but I haven't had trouble. Make sure you clone the reflexive onto the weapon, and I think the weapon must fire the sentinel beam proj, although I'm not certain of this, and I don't understand why it would be the case. But I have had three different tdtl's on three different weapons in one map, all of them imported. I seem to recall the disappearing projectile problem, and that's why I suggest using the sentinel beam proj. If your rate of fire falls below I think 4 or 5 rounds per second, the tdtl breaks up and looks bad, not like a continuous beam.
You could also try using a contrail, but it does not have some of the tdtl's cool properties. Or consider using a looping effect on the projectile, like the rocket's smoke trail and afterburner, or the plasma grenade's plasma wisps.
If you want to fire something like a rocket or banshee bomb with a tdtl behind it, I may know a way to hack it (no guarantees that it will look good). If that's what you need, let me know and I'll post a tutorial. I might have to release a couple of mods first though...

I used the tdtl tool to change the sentinal beam, now I want to spawn it as active scenery. The only problem is, when I spawn it, nothign appears. Everyone is telling me to change the contrail of a bullet to the contrail of the beam, but the beam isn't under the contrail tag. It has its own tag tdtl. I tried replaceing the Contrail with the tdlt and of course it freezes. Can this be done?
