Desiring help with H2x's mainmenu. Having trouble adding 50+

This was posted a few days ago, and I've tried some other stuff in the meantime, but here goes:



Greetings.

Please understand that I am deployed to Iraq and simply not able to access the internet with a computer that I can actually DO all of these things on.

I have a few map packs and I am trying to compile them into one nice pack for personal use. Obviously, there is a threshold of 50 maps, where halo 2 is not coded to use anything beyond that.

I used the Serenity [and Sppf, sometimes] patch to make 1000 slots in the mainmenu and the first 50 show up well enough. Once I pass that number, though, the mainmenu simply will not load.

I have read through various posts and Google's cache of halomods (since it is down or otherwise unreachable for me) and figured out that it seems to be an issue with calling the preview pics. While the 1000-slot patch does indeed total menu 1000 slots, it fails to add an additional 950 .bitm's.

A couple tests so far:
-I can duplicate a .bitm and add have a 50+ slot map call that bitm (at least, I think it does...) but only if there is a total of 50 or less active maps.
-I have tried to null the call for the pictures and just load the map links. This failed.
-I have not yet tried duplicating the .bitm and renaming the duped picture; I have only called the '..\multiplayer## (1)' sort of filename... I couldn't figure out the procedure for renaming earlier.

I have tried using MenuMenuMenu v5, Entity UE v1.3.6, and DotHalo v1b3. The last two had current plugins. [since this post, I have also tried pretty much every available tool in packs such as UMP and promodders]

I would like someone to either provide a patch (even from another mappack) that has 50+ maps in working order, or show me how to do it myself.

Pictures are not strictly necessary, as long as you are clear and concise.

Yeah, I ramble.

I do apologize if I seem to be fubaring things and not actually doing things on my own, but I would like to get things together, since my playing time is already pretty small.

As stated, I can add maps, edit them at will, but I simply cannot get the 1000 slot patch to work. The fundamental question I have is:
What am I doing wrong?

Can i have a patch your mainmenu with the 50 slots edited (0-49) then i'll see for the others slots, thanks.

Sure, I'll try to post a patch tonight.

Edit: Patch follows. It isn't exactly 'mine.' I deleted the menu I was working with out of corruption before my last post. The following patch is the 1000-slot sppf and mr47's mainmenu patch for his UMP. It may or may not work...let me know if it doesnt and I will make one from scratch.

The map is corrupted, broken idents wrong meta data on matg etc did you added something in the mapfile?

Like I said, it was just the 1000-slot+mr47's mappack patch. I had not tried to use that patch in all my tests, but I didn't have the time the other day to make one from scratch. I will try to do so tonight and upload it.

All I am trying to do is allow the large number of map-slots. I don't really care about a pretty new menu skin.

This is a .rar that contains sppf and serenity versions of the same file, just in case one doesn't work...for whatever reason. I applied the 1000-slot patch to a clean mainmenu.map, added my 0-49 maps, and tested it on the xbox. It worked. Anything further does not. Beyond the first few map slots, the original maps, nothing has a picture in this version. Will this be a problem? If so, feel free to add whatever 'filler' is needed to a fixed patch.
