Commission an App

For awhile now i have been trying to Convert some of my halo 2 vista maps to xbox.
i have given up. and it seems that the xbox community has also.
there was a topic on this a while ago . where the bsp was imported and worked in entity but didnt load.
i think Haveing the ability to create a map using the halo 2 editing kit and convert it to xbox halo 2. would breath new life into the halo 2 modding scene. this is somthing i am passionate about.
Im purposeing to pay 30$ to the person who makes a app or process that allows halo 2 vista conversions on xbox.
I hope im not breaking any rules doing this.
but i really do think this would bring alot to the halo 2 xbox modding scene.
Payments would be made securely over Paypal.
And the app would be publicaly released ,
So i encourage others who belive this is a good idea to add to my 30$ commision to increase programmers incentives.
It would be nice to get the community behind this , and have everyones support / ideas .
i have thought out my post and rewritten it twice i hope it makes sense and appeals to all you programmers out there. !

The Havok is different, thats why they don't work. They simply don't share the same properties.

Tho in theory it wouldnt be impossible to Fix or fake the havok ,in theroy.
if you could elabortate maybe more then i could add this as information to the first post.

The 2 games where build by 2 different companys. The 2 companys used most of the same content. But they used different Havok builds for there games.

okays i understand this much.
what is it exactly the havok effects. like i said before the bsp is viewable in entity . with even correct shaders. so the model its self has converted fine.
is it the collision of the bsp that is with the diffrent havok.
it seems like 90% of everything is there. would it not be possible to look at lets say coagulation xbox and coagulation vista and compare the havok diffrences and create some way of calcualteing these for the new bsp?

Havok is what controls the physics. So its play collision and bullet collision and alot of other stuff. Maybe we should be focused on converting part of the bsp instead of the entire tag.

intresting idea Darkshallfall. possibely convert only the visual model . and create or fake the havok collision mesh part.
Theres a Idea for any app makers intrested in the 30$

This would be absolutely amazing. I've been trying to make an xbox map for a while now, and would love to be able to do it.
Oh, and btw, you should say "commission AN app" not "commission A app."

Why would you want to convert Halo 2 Vista maps to Halo 2 Xbox if they are the same maps...? Or are there extra maps for the Vista version?

You can create custom maps in the PC Version.

Oh, really? Now I see the point of this. I don't have Halo 2 Vista so I didn't know. Personally, I don't really see how this can be done if the Havok engine is used differently.

Correct. i belive it comes with 2 maps that arenot on xbox version.
aswell as there are about 10 custom released maps.

Actually I was working on this with Shade45 a while back, but we bolth where to busy and forgot. I noticed his first conversion was missing a lot of important reflexives. So I added all the reflexives to his app. But the part that stoped me was finding all the xbox BSP Raw Chunks. If someone wants to make a list on say coagulation of all the offsets and sizes of the BSP Raw Chunks along with the offset to where you found the offset and size of that chunk, then Id be happy to continue working on it

If your planning on hard coding the offsets and sizes of each raw chunk for every map, your an idiot.

No, I need to replace the Raw Chunks from Xbox with the one from Vista. Cus entity doesent do it when you inject new BSP meta.

Still, its not hard to get those values from the meta.
