Externalize a sound?

Ok, this one may sound odd, but is it possible to externalize a sound? I have found when you transfer an internalized sound from one map to another, the sound doesn't transfer.

For instance, I have found that the scarab gun's sound in external, so when you copy it, the space for the sound is actually created. With this space, one can then inject the fixed sound. However, I noticed that if you try to copy an internal sound such as the sound the glass doors from newmombasa, the sound doesn't copy. The space for the sound to be injected isn't even made, only the name is created, leaving no opportunity to fix the sound with a program such as Halo 2 Sound Tools.

Does anyone know a way to externalize sounds, or if there is any other way to get around this problem that I am having? :?

I don't think you can. Sounds from Campaign have always been an issue. I have never figured out how to fix it.

My advice is to build you sound into your map using H2 Core. You get a sound that is closes to the Campaign sound. That is the closest I have gotten
