Entity alpha and someother entity questions.

Hello, thanks for respodning to yet another of my topics of help.

Well, now I have succesfully put a containment gate in turf along with a driveable pelican.

But for some reason, when I go to the BSP viewer in Entity 1.3.9. I can't see the pelican, nor the scarab I have placed in the map.

Does anyone know how I can find them?

Also, is there a way to move objects freely in Entity 1.3.9?

Now for Alpha.

I start it up, and open Turf.

Now when I try to view the BSP, a window opens for abou3 seconds then closes, and an error message comes up asking to terminate the program and the window goes away.

Does anyone know what to do for any of these problems, thanks once again, mockey.

You cannot see those vehicles. You can see them in the Model Viewer, but not in the BSP Viewer for some reason. Replace your Pelican with a Spectre or some other vehicle for now, go into the BSP Viewer and move that vehicle around, and after you have it where you want, replace it with the Pelican.

Don't use Entity Alpha. 1.3.9 and 1.6 is MUCH better.

Also, do you know to freely rotate the object so it's not slanted and whatnot?

Yes. You can rotate an object by using these button combinations:

Hold the Control button on your keyboard and the left mouse button to rotate an object.

Hold the Shift key on your keyboard and left mouse button to rotate it the other way.

Note that it might look different in game than it does in the viewer when you start to rotate it, so you might have to tweak it.

in conclusion to OwnZ joO's notation, editing the position manually in the [scnr] Meta Editor (YPR) is always a nice work-around, and usually gets you better results.

*edit: im gonna start calling you Eat =P
