HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I saved a sound from a Halo 2 map, but when i go to the place where i saved it, the file is just a...file? it has no file extension and i have no idea what type of file it is. How could i fix this?

Did you use Halo 2 Sound Tools to extract the sound?

It would still have an extension. If you extracted the sound meta with Entity or any other application besides Sound Tools, then you cannot play it. Halo 2 Sound Tools is the one of the best programs to extract sounds. Get it here: http://forums.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=41351

EDIT:Wtf it extracts the sound in mexican.....i was tryin to extract the "slayer" and "killimanjaro" sounds but it extracted them in mexican. Eh, i downloaded the shared.map off of a site, but nowhere in the download description did it say that the map was mexican.

There are several languages in the game. You picked the Spanish one.

Lol. That happened to me once. I swapped the firing noise with the sound of a medal being acquired in a different language and I thought the sound was corrupt. Anyway, say goodbye to Halomods, wtfomfghaxor.
