A way to edit .dds's

Post by BattleSkarz »

Can anybody direct me to a program that can be used to open and save dds files that work in halo? I have the gimp, and I found a dds plugin for it, and I can open them up, but it doesn't support exactly the right format. Does anybody have anything I can use?

I can't afford photoshop, don't have access to it, and don't look forward to a thirty hour bittorent to get it. Kinda out of the question.

EDIT: Damn you waeV! (shakes fist)
Double EDIT: It's not gimpshop for some reason, which i think is different. It's just the gimp. With the plugin, I am able to save them as dds, but something like the encryption is different, so in halo I just get a random pattern of rainbow.
