ive got as far as injecting images and swapping them for bullet hole decals on specific surfaces, but i cant get the them to depend entirely on the projectile. like the smg and the magnum both leave the same decal because they both fire bullets. but im trying for only one projectile (like a duplicated magnum bullet or something) to leave the decal. but i cant
this is because the decal doesnt depend on what projectile puts it there, but on what type of projectile it is and the kind of surface its put on. yes? no?
so..
i cant find where you can determine what surface makes what decal with what type of projectile, otherwise id probably be able to create another projectile type and add it to whatever controls the types of surfaces, so when the new type of projectile hits the surface, it goes ok ill put that picture of a dog there. (like duplicating an ITMC entry and cloning a weapon chunk from the SCNR tag to add a new weapon) that kind of idea.
so does anyone know how to create a new type of projectile and or tell different surfaces how to handle decals?
am i on the complely wrong track? anybody?
