a bit of jmad help required

My current mod has about 7 or 8 custom grenades at present they fire from left and right triggers on various weapons, what I would like is to make all these weapons look like you are carrying a bomb (so I would have a red blue green and plain grenade pack) (easily done fp model swap and jmad swap) and to have the grenade thrown jmad when either trigger is pulled,
where and how do I do this?
I tried adding a grenade thrown animation and animation call to fp/bomb with no difference should I be working with the mc jmad or both or am I well off course on this one
