tarturuses energy shield

yea i was wondering if his energy sheild around him could be applied to say an elite or masterchief. ive tried clone chunking from tarteruses [hlmt] and [bipd] tags over to masterchief's. i had no luck. does anyone know how this is done?

I'm not exactly sure how to get his shield but it is basically a really strong shield that has no effects when it is shot at. To achieve this with the normal shields you would have to edit each and every one of the [foot] tags.
Good luck on getting tartarus's shield.

open you bipd in the meta editor and look for shield health, make it a lot higher. Done.

Tartarus's shield actually isn't completely invulnerable.
You can take his shield down by shooting him 3 times with a beam rifle.

Since the beam rifle is the only weapon that effects his shield, it leads me to beleave his "invulnerability" is done so by script.

I got tarterouses shield recharge effect and shield hit effect working on the chief, it looks really cool!

your right, Taurterouses shields are just a tad bit stronger than the MC's. I found a few scripts having to do with the bosses impervious/invulnerability's. Also there were a few scripts that have something to do with tarterouses shield recharge rate, that explains why the snipers can only take his shields down. If I knew how to transfer StringIDs I would attempt this but I don't. In the hlmt I found a "invincibility" string, probably referencing a script if that helps.

yes how do you transfer string ID's you cant fix uldg sounds with out em and I think its time to fix that?

Scripts reference "script objects", spawn placements (scenery, bipd, machine, etc.), "trigger zones", and "cut-scene flags."
Scripts don't reference things in [hlmt] tags, well usually.
Most likely a SringID linked in his variation.

Default being him without shield and Invulnerable having his shield.

His Invulnerability is most likely done using script objects and AI spawns.

no im not trying to make the elite stronger, thats easy =P, i mean that big glowing shield around tarterus. im trying to get that to be around an elite, i dont nessicerly need the power of it, just the effect of it.

well if you just want the effect change the shader of the overshield with it. As for the protection of it I'm not sure.

hmm thats a good idea but, do you know how to make it on the elite, without getting the overshield?
