To Team Acemods

Team 3volved im asking for yous can make a map mod of Valhalla with a working man cannon and missile pod and all the your equipment i would help with it but i cant do any modding to save my life but i will test it out and stuff this is just an idea. A bit like this picture below thanks.

How do you expect them to create the bsp for it?

I would guess "borrow it". I don't think that is allowed by the forum rules though. You could however model it using something like blender or something. It would take a crap load of time but it would work. Anyone good at blender here? I sure am not. The man cannons I assume could be done with the grav lifts at an angle. The weapons shouldn't be too bad since most of them are almost finished already. Someone really needs to model better though. Some of these models aren't too awesome. I would do it but I only know how to use one program lol.

Nobody has successfully injected a new bsp into Halo2 xbox. It may have been done but not publically. So you are out of luck till it's figured out or released.

Well, yes we have, but we haven't got anything that re-calculates the BSP's coll/phmo for the new verts. I doubt ever to see one now either...

It will be considered.
If the sbsp cant be remodeled, we'll just use [mach] tags and placement for collision.

You might be able to get away with it by resizing and what not then matching the phmo with a model but why bother...

well if we could master the h2v to h2x conversions we could just use halo 2 vistas map creator and then convert the bsp to work for xbox and bam Valhalla for halo 2.

I was referring to H2V to H2X conversions. If thats what you where referring toward then I was simply saying there hasnt been a successful transfer to my knowledge.

this discussion reminds of that one mod that one guy made where he managed to make a giant hole in the bsp for Coagulation. what if someone were to do that, and basically mess around with the verts of the bsp so much as to recreate Valhalla? it may be VERY time consuming, but it is a far away possibility.

I dont have a 360 unfortunatly im saving up for one thoy but i was wondering if you could add the halo 3 beta maps and convert it or something like that im not that good at modding really but i read that you can convert the halo 3 betas xex to xbe to play on your xbox using a program called xna game studio i dunno if this is true but you can also apparently use it to conver the file to exe to play on windows

HAHA. time consuming doesnt even cover it.. considering that there are about 9000 different verts in beavercreek.
no if we only had an app that would map out the vertecies in a grid sort of manner and export it as an obj... no that would be cool be really hard to do.

easiest conclusion, its possible, not likely until the conversions are completed which after having read everything in that topic, only 1 tag is different from xbox's.

well it would technically only have to be plugins
1. plugin that exports all verts into a txt file from entity
2. plugin for 3ds max that maps out all of those vertecies and plays connect the dots to form a (coagulation shaped) mesh
3. make the mesh shaped like the map you want and export back to a txt file and import the txt file into entity.
BAM custom collision.

When Prometheus comes out, maybe our grandkids will be able to make us some good maps with it. Then we'll get some wicked Team Slayer games on in the nursing home.
