Okay I have been trying to load my map in Entity while running Windows vista at first when I tried to open it i got an error like this.
"Meta Editor Settings.xml is denied"
I tried to reinstall Entity that error went away but now when I try and open a map it says, and I have checked all my map paths I even tried opening the mainmenu it still won't open.
I have tried about 5 different versions of them so far and I am going through all of them. So if anyone has had this problem and or knows how to fix this please respond.

When that error appears on my entity, I just reclick a tag and it goes away. Just might be my Entity but that usually works

Try using Entity 1.3, I have vista as well and I get the same problem with 1.6 UE, and even 1.5 UE.
Click me for Entity 1.3
^1.3 with AI enabled^

Uhm, might you have done anything to your computer?
And I doubt this has any effect but go under the Compatibility and check off "Run as administrator"
If that doesn't work, try restarting your PC (Which I'm sure u have already tried, but it cant hurt)
If that doesn't work, I'm sorry man but I don't know what else you can do.
Goodluck

Yeah its annoying I get the error 2. The only way to "avoid" is to click continue select a new tag then go back to the old 1.

Heres the solution, when you go to open Entity, make sure to hit run as Administrator. It still will have problems, but its the onlt solution so far, thats why i'm getting an imac.

Hi im the one who helped him... its was weird but i ran the program as admin and made it the default map editor and it stopped the errors.
i too am running vista.. i like home basic cuz it doesnt have all that crap like the aero theme.... scince i installed it the only thing i had to do was switch to classic theme cuz h2c wont run in vistas theme correctly. so ive never had problems to start but if ne one needs help just lemme know.

OK I just got my new laptop with windows vista home premium on it.
Whenver I try to open the bsp viewer I get an error like 'is not a valid win32 application'.
Can I bypass this somehow?
