Weapon deletion

If it is possible, how would you make a weapon that automatically disappears after you fire it, or when it runs out of ammo completely?

there is explode on overcharge which fires then disapeers... however it dont work on Sys link.. so if u find a way to do this let me know, i realy need to know

well you can take a leaf out of the energy swords book and use the "Aged Weapon" dependacy

could you go into more detail about what ur talkin bouts? the sword doesnt disapeer from your inventory when empty if thats what ur talking about however if its not i would realy like to hear more of this idea

You could give the weapon only one shot per clip and ammo, then check the box for drop when fired. After firing the only shot it has, you would drop it and it would dissapear because it has no ammo left, just like any other weapon.

I already tested,Doesn't work, the weapon is dropped before the projectile is shoot :?

well, when the sword runs out of energy it switches to the "useless" version, so if you have a "useless" version of your weapon which is dropped when fired and fires automatically.... :D

the problem with that is that the Energy Sword doesn't have battery in MP. And, I have tried aged weapon, but its giving me no effect. If it helps, the weapon I am doing this to is a rocket launcher.

who said anything about using the energy sword? im assuming the aged weapon comes into play when the weapon runs out of ammo...
Edit: just took a look at the weap plugin and i believe the "Age Generated per Round" value may come into play...however the sword doesnt use it...so hmm...try settting it to 1

what about giving the gun health? and then make it so the projectile hurts the gun, and destroys it upon firing.

btw, sorry if im wrong, I dont mod anymore so I can't test this stuff out.

1- The weapon is dropped before the projectile is shooted, so no.
2- Broken idents FTL
