HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I wanted to know how to make some cool looking weapon and projectile effects and i have been playing around with the prt3 tag and effects tag and I cant get something I really like, so are there any suggestions how to make some cool looking effects for things such as explosions and contrails?

Detox'x Tdtl Editor can make the sentinel beam look really cool. (Even though it's not really a standard weapon effect.)

Ive tried using that but it always gives an error message, is there a certain way to use that program?
