Last night on Kai I joined a room where the map name was listed as coag. Since the h2 version I was on at the time had no modded maps, I thought it would just be a normal run, but when I joined, we all spawned in the mountains overlooking the bases. Lots of snipers, tanks galore, and a warthog or two - it was one of the most fun times I've had on that map in a while.


Now I've looked all over the place, but I can't find a map for it - so did he just change the spawns? And by doing that, did he make it not necessary for people to have anything but the original map?

I'm just curious because it was so damn much fun lol.

From what you described, yes, it could be done by just moving spawn points. Players do not need to have the mod, or even a modded console to participate in a such a mod (Assuming that's all it was).

We actually made a map like that its called Wake Island

It was on top of coag, yes. You could walk/drive to the edge of the mountains and look down on the two bases, but an invisible wall prevented you from falling. It was basically a donut shaped map with the bases where the "hole" would be. There wasn't anything else special about it, and I'm assuming that's all there was done to it, because there was a full room of 16 playing, and on modded maps on kai I rarely find rooms with more than 8.
