problem with ftp

none of my maps will ftp to my xbox. i can get a connection and get into the maps folder but as soon as i try to put something on my xbox it either just doesnt do it or it says file doesnt exist even though i no it exists. can anybody help. It would be appreciated.

You don't have the map open in any editors do you? Some editors or resigners will have constant access to the map. So you cannot access it, copy it, whatever. close the map out of any editors you have open. If that still doesn't work close the editors all together.

Use SmartFTP, or Windows.
Also, this isn't an Xbox question forum.

What your doing is not entering a ftp password. The default is username:xbox password:xbox

@ happykillmore- The only thing i have open is Smartftp still got the error "file not found"
@ zoner117- as stated above im using smartftp and i also tried windows
@ darkshallfall- I wouldnt be able to connect to my xbox without the password
If anybody else has any other ideas y this is happening plz help

i have that app and i also tried it and on there and it ends up getting almost done then it just stops ftping

Install XBMC or Unleash X for your dash.

Use internet explorer, anything below IE7.
Or, use Windows Explorer, though i think u already tried.
Make sure that you haven't run out of space on your xbox.
try putting the maps onto your xbox again.(Like DVD2XBOX)

thanks Aumaan Anubis the problem was my xbox harddrive only had 400kb on so i couldnt even put anything on it so i deleted one single player map and everything returned to normal thanks everybody that tried to help expesially Aumaan Anubis.

Nobody was expecting a space problem. How big is your drive? I have a 80GB that suits me.
