for some reason i cant play themaps i modded and added to the mainmenu. i hex edited like 20 map's "scenarios\multi" strings and then i opened mainmenu.map in dothalo and i changed the names and the scenario names and the values. then i ftped everything over to my xbox. when i tryed to play the maps, i either failed to load them or it would load the map and then take me back to the lobby. does anyone know what i can do to fix this?

yes, the map name must correspond with scenarios/multi/totalBS/yourmapnamehere

Make sure the map file name is correct. For example if we were adding "Night Ops"
scenarios/night_ops/night_ops
Then map file name would be night_ops.map

Disable your auto update. Just go to the E>TDATA>4d5000003>$c or $u folder and rename it to $c1/$u1. I can't remember the exact file because I haven't modded in a while. You can do that or run Yelo and it will work fine.

or to permently remove the auto-update on a .xbe there was a program that came with the killtrocity mappack
that way you dont have to rename anything
or run yelo if u dont want to

or you can just copy the origanal .xbe from the halo2 disc

yes but if u copy the xbe from the disc it will recognize the autoupdate
then the only way to get rid of it would be to rename the folders in tdata, use yelo to disable it, or to permently get rid of the au so u dont have any troubles with it
