Help making a nuke

I am working on making a nuke out of a rocket in coagulation. So far, it blows up the entire level. It flies slow, so you have time to take cover before it blows up.
However, the explosion doesn't exactly work properly. It doesn't turn anything more black than a normal rocket, and the explosion itself doesn't appear to be any larger than a normal rocket. How can I make the explosion appear to be larger, so that it actually looks somewhat realistic? And is there any way to make it "singe" the ground black that the explosion hits, just like a normal rocket would do?
hm

well im not sure but try opening the rockect projectile in dothalo and in the tag editor theres an option for particle size and its at 0.1. well try changing to 5 or bigger.

It didn't work.... but thanks for the idea. So far, all I can get it do is increase the amount of light the explosion gives off, but that doesn't affect the explosion itself at all. Of course, it still kills you, but it doesn't look like an explosion at all. All that really happens is the walls light up...

lol.
Try working with new prt3's and effects you can also edit the jpt! to make it more powerful but good effe's are would make it look bigger and better work around and you oculd make something nice.

I had to edit the jpt! to make the nuke work. As I said, it already blows up the whole level... but when it blows up you can't see the explosion.... that's where I need help. How do I make the explosion appear to be larger?

I think theres a huge effect in campaign. From that cinematic where the shit blows up and mc dives into the water. After you find a huge effect try to change the particle effects to get a firey feel. Then edit the rockets [jpt] to hage a bigger damage radious and more damage. Good luck

you cant change the huge effect in campaign to an effect for your weapon though because it is only a cinematic. The assault bomb has a fairly large explosion on it.

you can take the effects from the introdutcion stage thats all cinematics you can take effects from any map even cinematics thats the way bungie made it and the assault bomb isn't much of a nuke but it could work its small explosion though

The nuke already kills everyone instantly who didn't take cover once it goes off, so there's no point in making it hurt you more... but isn't there any way to increase the size of the explosion rather than taking an explosion from something else? I guess I could try changing out the explosion...
I tried the Halo Explosion from the introduction cutscene and it didn't show up. I tried linking different effects to it, but none of them worked. The only thing the worked out of it was the light from the explosion. I've seen people make explosions larger before, but how do they do it? I doubt that they are linking it to another explosion.

Try not to double post. I'm totally pulling this out of my ass but try looking in the meta editor in the effects tag and see if you can change the size of the effects.

That was my original idea... but it didn't work. I couldn't get any tags to come up.
By the way, what program are you talking about doing that in? I used Dothalo to make the nuke, but don't get me wrong. I've been modding for about a half a year now, so I've used a lot of other programs also.
