Do you need an encryptomatic signatue tool to mod halo maps?

lol nope, no signature in Halo 1... instead you need to decompress mapfiles before modding them... then recompile (or put them in your cache directory) before playin them...

You'll need some kind of resigner, it doesn't have to be ES, there are plenty of resigners out there, most map editors have a built-in one.
