^^^This is the tut i use to convert BSP's to other maps^^^

However, when i try to put another BSP in place of the mainmenus bsp it NEVER works. I want the "01a_tutorial" bsp on the main menu instead of that "stupid city and tower" I use the main menu as the base map and when decompiling the map, the tags folder gets to about 36.1 MB before H2Core freezes and i have to call task manager. THis is where im stuck. If there is a different tutorial or process for putting a new BSP on the main menu the please lend a hand. Iv looked around in the tutorial section but i havent found much of relevance.

Try it when you don't transfer anything from the new BSP into the map, because if you add something to the mainmenu u have to add it to all the maps for it to work.

The reason it crashes is because of one type of tag plugin I think. I don't know exactly what it is, but a while ago, I narrowed it down to what it was, and successfully decompiled and rebuilt the main menu. I'll see if I can find which tag it is.

Edit:
I'm pretty sure the problem is with the wigl tag, as that's the only one that gives me an error. I can't remember what I did to fix it though...

Except for like a few select buildings, it is, indeed all scenery. I'm going to see what I can do to change it though.

well one problem is that if the BSP is bigger then the mainmenus it will shift all the other raw data causing ALL your maps that use the mainmenu for some textures to look weird and not correct at all, unless you fix ALL the maps which would be too much trouble if your releasing a mainmenu because nobody will want to patch all their maps just for a new mainmenu bsp
