my ai wont move or chase me...
my ai wont move or chase me...
ok i can get the AI working fine, but the problem is, they wont move. say i spawned an elite with a sword, he would see me, but wouldnt run up to me and attack me. the only way he attacks me is if im standing rite in front of him. the level ive tried this on was coagulation, zanzibar and burial mounds. any help is apreciated. thanks.
you'll need to jmad swap the bipd that you would like to move,(the MC, MC MP, and Elite MP can not be jmad swapped)
In Entity (I'll be using the marine)
open the jmad tag of the bipd you are using(not one of the 3 listed above)
then scroll down to animation calls(META EDITOR)
then choose combat
then go down another bar and choose the weapon type
then go down another bar and choose any
then the full body animation should say "idle" and below that will have a number and something like idle:var:0 or something like that.
click the first drop down(where it says idle) and find move_front(for running) or Walk_front(for walking)
then in the lower box there should be a number just like there was for the "idle" full body animation, remeber the number for Move/Walk_front.
then go back to idle and change idle from its number idle:var:0 to the move_front or Walk front number.
Save then the AI using that BIPD will run at you/enemy after they have spotted you/enemy
