Invisible vehicle

I had an idea for the mod I'm working on... would it be possible to make it so that when you enter a vehicle with cloaking, the vehicle inherits that cloaking? That would be awesome to hop in a ghost with cloaking and have it inherit the invisibility... lol if it's possible, tell me how, and if it's never been mentioned before, maybe we should look into it =D if not possible, then forget I ever mentioned it lol

It's a good idea, it's been talked about before I believe, I don't know how easy this would be to pull off.

oh okay good lol at least I'm not the first to mention it XP should we start looking into it? it'd be a great mod, especially if you wanted to make a stealth mod lol is it also possible to make it so that a vehicle doesn't appear on the motion sensor radar? that would be great, too! lol

To start things off we'd have to figure out how the masterchief is turned invisible (he picks it up but what tag is making him gain the effect?) When masterchief is invisible his guns are invisible too, so if only we could figure out how to make the warthog look like a gun to the game so it would turn invisible too.

well you could just make the hogs horn turn the hog invisible. The only thing though is how to make it time limit based cause if you use that method its perminent unless shot out of it.

hm.. well, we all know the Energy Sword doesn't inherit the cloaking when you use them at the same time... if we could figure out why, maybe could make a step toward taking the cloaking effect and applying it to a vehicle lol just a thought >.>

you can already apply cloaking to vehicles. Just but it works the other way around from what you want, its what enters the vehicle takes on the vehicles cloaking.

You make plugins that take hours of hours to do and you're to lazy to look at the tags. =D sounds like you had a long day to me. Does anyone know where the cloaking tags are?

The sword doesn't take the cloaking because that's how its shader is programmed. Some shaders aren't set up for cloaking.

How would you do that? I've never heard of a weapon activating a powerup like active camo before.

know how when you shoot something the camo goes away? it can also work in reverse.

Well I have no idea how to do that, but you could just make a "cloaked hog"
So if your not invisible, other players will see you , so it would only be useful if you yourself were using active camo at the moment. Otherwise players would see a sitting flying man

Then you'll never find the warthog, it would be absolutely invisible unlike how camouflage leaves distortions.

First i have to say that it doesnt show for people who dont have the mod. There is a camo ding value in jpt that makes the camo go away, should hopefully be labled on the xzodias site. Just set it to a negative value and the gun that fires will make its host, in this case the hog, start to turn invisible.

hmm... so the active camo can work in reverse, eh?? sounds neat lol =P I was thinking more along the lines of creating a custom model for the Ghost and using it as a single person stealth vehicle... come to think of it, it'd actually work better to get in the vehicle and become invisible lol

woudln't that defeat the purpose though i mean if u see a random ghost flying people will know someone is inside it if the whole thing is invisible people willl be like WAhh wtf just went flying by me
