im gonna take either the glass from ivory tower or derelict
and i want to make it so that when you drive on it it dont break for like 1 minute or so...
then youll fall underwater and die
does anyone know the values i would have to change on the window tag?

That's a very neat Idea. I am beginning to have interest in your map pack. Where is the window tag? It's kind of hard to help if i can't explore the tag. As for giving it a time before it breaks I don't think would quite work, but shooting at the glass or maybe going off a jump and landing on it with the warthog should be able to break it, this is a whole new thing and would be very neat to see.

I don't think you can just spawn glass like that. I could be wrong though.

blackdiamond has the right idea. That would recreate glass...although i'm not so sure about the part where you want it to break after a certain amount of time. You could add a deathzone underneath...it's just the glass being breakable is your problem.

But you can easily make it have some health and when you go off a little jump with say a warthog the impact would usually break through glass... Only problem the glass doesn't respawn once you break it. Unless you got some scripts, I'm no scripter but I think it would be hard to tell it to respawn after so many seconds in the spot it broke.

spawn it throgh itmc, that would make it respawn
ok...

well where do i get the glass gfrom
what tag do i swap the itmc with to get glass to spawn???
sorry for being noobish but ive tried everything!
i have another idea
creating a model for glass and injecting it into the map
but how would i skin the glass to have a see trhough effect unless...
i could make it have active camo
but these are too complicated mods for me im just a intermediate modder learning more and more everyday
sooner or later ill know all this stuff by hand

It's a bump, yes, but I think I've figured out how you can simulate this.
Cover the ground with the one of the door machs that reacts to biped proximity, such as the one from Gemini. Orient it horizontally, (of course), and make it invisible, just beneath whatever object or bitmap gives you the visual effect of the ice. Play with the mach meta to get the delay effect you want. "Position transition time" is how quickly the door opens, and I don't know if "Door open time" or "Delay time" controls the delay between when the door detects you and when it starts to open. I think it's the former. Replace the door chime with the sound of breaking glass, and put a death zone right beneath it.
So it's essentially a trap door that makes the ice-breaking sound when it opens and drops you to a death zone. You won't see shards of ice, but you will die.
If you want a very large surface of breakable ice, you'll have to create a perimeter of several door machs. You could also use a larger door mach like the bridge from Delta Approach, but I don't know if you can give it proximity detection capability, and you might have to forgo the breaking sound. I'm also not sure mach doors will automatically open for bipeds in vehicles, but this should work for bipeds on foot.
