skinning tips

i am going to give my mod a skin, and i just wanted to hear from you guys some good tips for it, i do have adobe phoshop, but not that CS2 thing, but they are nearly the same. i want to give my mod a desert, tanish, sunny mod, like paraiso. i would love tips on how to do it. thankz

Be sure to internalize the Bitmaps. (Use the Uberbitmap tool.) Which map is this going over? =D

lol no silly, i mean skinning the skin, not tips on what to do while skinning. im talking about editing the skin. i want tips

Take your time, focus on the small details, and don't be satesfied with crappy textures. Make sure it looks good enough that you don't over-notice anything. No skin should look out of place. It should all blend.

Yes, and stick to a theme. I learned that from my first skin.

No fruity colors, unless you are making a wonderland skin.. lol.... Make it feel as if you're playing a new map. Or take something classic and make it your map like that N64 skin.
