that tutorial isn't working for me since adobe photoshop doesn't support channels, the red, green, blue, and alpha channels. is there another program that i can do it with? i

EDIT: also, when i do get it working, how do i get the "press x for THIS" and how do i edit the secondary weapon thing on the top-right of the screen, and lastly, how do i make it smaller so that the split-screen and quadriple-screens can see the bitmaps

mainly all i want is custom crosshairs with a working alpha channel program, and to change a couple other bitmaps

you need permission to install a file?
go here and paste the plug in -
C:\Program Files\GIMP-2.0\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins

Photoshop does support channels. Where the layer's tab is...to the right of that is the channels tab.

Anything in GIMP is completely out beat in Photoshop. Especially CS3 Extended Edition. The Alpha Channel can be toggled on and Off like Kibito said, in the layers tab.
