(Yes, I searched. Alot.)

So after a 18 month break from halo 2...I decided to come back. Anyway:

Before I get into detail, lemme make sure what I'm trying to do is even possible.

1: Null out all parts of a wraith except one remodeled one (aka so its the only visible part)
2: Skin said part
3: Have it working :/

I extracted the .obj models from the wraith and turned the Wraith.hull_front.base.4 into a more spherical shape (this HOPEFULLY will look like a large ball once skinned..) and exported it as an .obj file. What do i do next? I looked in insolence, entity, dothalo, and can't tell where I can null out individual parts of the wraith.

Any help is well appreciated.

EDIT: I think I've been going in the complete wrong direction to do this...

Bump

And new idea!

1: Have the soccerball model be used instead of the wraith model for the wraith.
2. Skin the soccerball.
3. Have it working as a wraith.

Sounds easier to me but i still don't know if its doable -.-

Usually when you take out the looks of a part you null out the shader but it will still keep its collision. If you use the soccerball change its phmo to a soccerball too, the seat spot also may be a little off. As for using your custom model, you can use entity by going to the wraith model, clicking the + button and injecting it. I'm not sure what else to say.
