Help! Failing to load the map [Lockout] and [Coagulation]

Well I was modding and I was installing a skin with serenity 3.10.
[Lockout] is saying that I am failing to load the map. I don't think I have a clean or original. Do I have to take off the soft mod and the install it again?

See with coag, I was loading a Mod, it was an A.I mod, and I think this is where I screwed up... I didn't have the multiplayer maps.

So am I right about Coag? And is there anyway to fix those to maps without un-installation?

Uninstalling your softmod won't change the maps on your hard drive at all - just take clean copies off of your Halo 2 disk and put them on your xbox.

Did you happen to be using Yelo for the AI coagulation mod? It sounds to me like something's up with your DLC folder. Only because you say lockout doesn't work and same for coagulation. usually the reason somebody's Lockout fails to load is because they try make their updates not show up in the game. But they leave the other DLC folders intact. Try using fresh copies of the maps...if that doesn't work. Either delete your Halo2 TDATA folder, or rename the folders in their so Halo2 doesn't find any of them. Let us know how it goes.

kibito87, It keeps saying I failed to load the map. Could you give me step by step instructions? Do you have Msn?

Giving the maps fresh ones did not help.

I say this should belong in the modding discussion seeing as how modding is the thing that made you fail to load map, and modding must be done to fix it.

*Moved.

FTP the original maps to your HDD or try to resign them again and Re-FTP them.

Erm, No. Afraid that won't work. Otherwise I wouldn't be here.

As kibito87 said, I messed with the updates. Since the updates are saved onto your xbox, refreshing with new maps won't work. Plus, I've tried it.

Do you have a softmodded xbox? Are you able to download the updates from Xbox Live?

I WAS able to download them
I got the latest updates, plus all of the maps.

I found the folder with the halo 2 updates, I'm changing the name of it and if that doesn't work, I'm deleting it.

I softmodded my xbox with mechassault, I have the Evo X dashboard.

"I also have xbox live"

Found the answer!

Hey, I renamed the $C and $U folders and got lockout working but now it doesn't detect the other original halo 2 mappacks like warlock, turf, etc.

Because those maps are located in the folders you renamed.
Add them to your mainmenu, then place the new maps in your Halo 2 maps folder.

But will i still be able to play on xbox live with those maps like that? If i add them to the mainmenu and add the maps to the halo 2 maps folder will people on live still recognize my maps? thanks

You aren't modding on Live are you?
And no, you can not access XBL with a modded dash, so you can't boot H2 off your harddrive and play Live.

that means that your quote above won't work then at least when playing xbl

Uh, ok. That is pointless, if you have a modded dash, you can't access Live. If you rename the $C folder the new maps won't show up on Live.
What is your point?

Ok, my point is I can't load lockout on live because of a modded dash and if i do load lockout on live then i can't have warlock and all those other maps! Any ideas? thanks

Yeah I have an idea. DON'T MOD ON LIVE! If you want to play xbox live either get a new xbox or 360. No matter what type of modding for live; it is bad. And if you just want to go back when lockout wasn't working just add lockout2 to your mainmenu and it will load fine. It is not the maps fault that it does not load.

You put the new maps on your Xbox.
