Gametype Mods/Editing?

Hey guys, don't know if this has been asked before, but I'm wondering if there is a utility or tool that can allow me to edit/mod Halo 2 Gametypes. A few years back I found some gametypes that I transfered to my Xbox via Action Replay. One of the gametypes I used for Hog Wars because where it says "Starting Weapon" there's just a blank space, and when spawned, players would cary nothing (no weapon).

Another gametype I had was called "WWIII" and when played on Coagulation, it would spawn 2 Scorpian Tanks at both the red and blue bases. Anyone know where I can find more info. about these kind of gametypes, or what tools were used to make them? You know, a tool or way I could rename the gametypes as well adding in Symbols and such (H2 restricts me from doing so).

Thanks for showing interest!

Thanks a lot Elite747, that's definetly what I'm looking for. Any idea how I could mod or hack a gametype to spawn certain things and do certain things without having the map modded? Example, like I mentioned above with the "WWIII" game variant. 4 tanks on an untouched map using a gametype. Something along those lines.

Thanks again.

This hacks game types, not maps. This IS how you do it. The 4 tanks is cus they added secondary heavy vehicle, which is a hidden quick option that is supported by most maps like coagulation. Saver and a modded Mainmenu are the only ways to do it without touching the MP maps.

OK, thanks for clearing that up. How would I be able to add secondary heavy vehicle? Also, is it possible to hack the gametype to make light vehicles spawn where the heavy vehicles would normally spawn?

Another thing. I edited some gametypes to my likings and they contain all the symbols and whatnot, it's great, but when I go into "Change Rules" and I scroll down to the gametype, it still has it's original title. When I FTP to my Xbox and find the gametype's folder in TDATA, there are three files. The file that Sav3r opens, in this case "slayer" file, and two others. I know that the "SaveImage.xbx" is the gametype's data that contains all the variants and options of the gametype, but when I open the "SaveMeta.xbx" with Notepad, everything is written in plain English, and it contains the title that I'm seeing in the "Change Rules" screen in Slayer. I figured that I could just edit that title to my liking, but how would I insert a symbol or character?

Can anyone help me?
