effe on a bipd/html

how could I get an effe onto a bipd/html? i tried replacing it with the warthog's chaingun vehi I placed on the html of the grunt, but it just froze. the effe is on the scenery i put on the grunt. I got the scenery on the grunt by switching the vehi of the chaingun, copied from the warthog, to the scenery, and the scenery HAS the effe on it. although the bitmaps didn't even get onto the scenery, now the scenery is all white. i would like to fix that as well. for those of you that was too confused to understand this. how do i get an effe onto a bipd or a html

EDIT: what is turk's real name? because it is obvious there are numbers or something around turk's name. or is the name kurk?

I attached a always fireing human turet to a grunt, the result was if i could get ai to chase me they killed me. It was fun fur a minute, but to many grunts = lag.

when you put a scenerey with an effect on it what sceneray did you use? Cause when i made my flaming skull mod i used the flame small from enlongation.
